QUOTE(A.B.D. @ Feb 29 2016, 03:51 PM) Glo Mall is now like SStwo Mall last time, keep delaying opening, opened a very empty mall and shut down shortly. But i really hope Glo can do miracles and find an area of strength, BIG is quite unique in the market, hope it can help. yes.. glo mall has already delayed several times of its opening.. other than B.I.G, I wonder what other tenants that they are able to secure ? |

QUOTE(urb7 @ Apr 20 2016, 08:31 AM) Visited BIG and think will be my last. The Ingress into the mall is so poorly planned, perhaps due to the narrow plot of land. And you have to drive 4 levels upwards to reach the visitor parking. The main entrances are narrow and the backlane is where you will have to pass through and theres where the loading docks are at. The flow jusr isn't right. How's the crowd of glo mall? tropicana city has much better access than this mall, right?Asking price RM 1000psf ? I rather do The Greens TTDI |

QUOTE(mthc @ Apr 21 2016, 10:41 AM) This mall is destined to fail. They may put BIG as an anchor. But I doubt it will be a crowd pulling factor due to its horrible access and location. Let's see how long can BIG lasts here before they pull outta glo. let's see if they will end up like one city's supermarket which has closed in less than 6 months |

some comments from customers for this mall:
Was there last week n nothing much tht would attract me to go back. Ben's grocer was very quiet, no crowd n freezing cold. Was there for less thn 10 mins n left immediately as I was shivering. scary when you get out from car park to ben.. only ben is opening now, very scary especially at night This post has been edited by MonGJiHyo: Sep 11 2016, 11:54 PM |

QUOTE(DS4 @ Sep 17 2016, 06:03 PM) Looking at current rate of occupancy, jz went to Tropicana city mall a week ago and I saw a lot of major areas are boarded to make way for new tenants/concepts.. GLO days are numbered... Now the group is relying on development return to fund the operating cost for mall as well as earlier committed finance charges. Within 5km, GLO, 1UTAMA, Tropicana City Mall, and Atria...plus upcoming Starling...total 5malls. saito college and several new f&b outlets will be opening at the new extension building of TCM.. seems like glo gonna work really HARD to attract tenants or else they will keep on struggling badly.. |

QUOTE(DS4 @ Sep 17 2016, 06:44 PM) Capital Mall setting up, management team leasing team and overall marketing strategy is very very much advance than GLO Glomac staff that not been given bonus for continuously Teo years. yes.. I agree.. location, accessibility and management of TCM is way better than glo Many have left the job.... In term of location, accessibility and management all below TCM, I can't see any future for this mall. The only changes of surviving is wait for large REIT to buy, do extension (but can't see any changes) and rebranding.... btw, how do u know glo staff have not been given bonus? u hv friend working at there ? |

QUOTE(stick436 @ Sep 18 2016, 03:02 PM) Glo Dsara (mall, residence, office) is still fairly new compared to much more mature TC (mall, residence, office). so you think glo tenants have to wait till the completion of MRT? The performance of the mall will be dependent on the residence and office as well. At this point, i think the residence is doing fairly ok but not so for the office. The office towers may pick up with the help of MRT once completed. Too early to judge for now IMO. look at nus zentral which located beside transportation hub.. and many offices nearby.. are they doing well especially those non-F&B outlets? even several F&B outlets also closed down because of poor biz and serve with court notice though the mall have numerous visitors passing by everyday.. |

QUOTE(urbanite @ Jan 25 2017, 09:50 AM) Not all restaurants in DPC are successful. A few have closed down and taken over by others. product as in the right tenant mix.. Product must be right also. In Nu Sentral case, some restaurant that have closed, in my opinion, serves lousy to mediocre food at exhorbitant prices. and i agree of your point that those F&B that have closed down at NU Sentral really serves lousy and overprice food.. even on lunch time, there was barely any people dining at those lousy shops.. |
