One of my most memorable missions from Soldiers was the UK one where you had to infiltrate an enemy coastal base and destroy some guns (Basically, the same as the Guns of Navarro but without any women)...

And also another British one where you had to infiltrate a german occupied city, lug around MG42s to mow down hundreds, save a French spy and try to run in a derelict truck...

And that other Russian one where you had to defend a spot from an oncoming onslaught of German panzers and whatnot with just a bunch of tank destroyers...

Or placing a sniper on a water tower to kill of enemy soldiers from running up to tanks and throwing AT grenades at them... All the while hoping no enemy tank can see him...

...

I need to get MoW

Yeah, i've seen quite a number gameplay video to know that it's no way friendly like CoH. My next targets are Theater of War 2 series..

Even MoW has 2 new expac? in dev as well. Nearest being Assault squad and vietnam for modern settings.

Assault squad gameplay sounded quite a bit different to me focusing more on the small scale missions with only commanding fewer men.
Kinda like some of the "commando" missions in MoW where you have only a handful of men and have to infiltrate enemies line.

That's one thing I liked about the MoW campaign, missions were pretty varied ranging from full scale defense, to attack of ennemy base or convois, then these small scale tactical infiltration.
The "almost fps jeep-driving mission" almost at the end of the Allied campaign was also super fun and very different way of using the game engine.

Hmm... that's weird. The normal price in our region is $14.99, since I did a comparison before & even laughed at those from US. doh.gif

EDIT: Here's the quote.

EDIT#2: OK guys, looks like Steam Store f*cked up. The region lock mechanism isn't working. Games that are previously region-locked such as Lost Planet 2 & GTA 4 are shown in the store now. Hurry up if you wanna stock up on some of the games that are previously not available here!

P.S. I haven't tested if I can buy any of these region-locked games. tongue.gif

Good thing that existing Borderland users from Steam get early access to Duke as well.

Not really, it was on sale on EA's site for quite awhile, but never more than 50%.

TellTale pack was on sale but the discount was only 33%?

Added on October 14, 2010, 3:07 pmOh btw, I bought it already.

Steam To Introduce Digital Trade-Ins?

QUOTE
Right now, if you buy a game from Steam, finish it and don't want it, well, you can...delete it. You can't go trade it in. But there are whispers that the digital purchase giant is considering implementing such a scheme.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, taking a break from wildly speculating about the future of the industry, has actually gone on record to say he's heard Valve will soon be allowing those who download a game to trade it in.

"Steam is phenomenal, it's a great service," he told NowGamer. "Steam gives gamers enough other stuff so that they don't resent the fact they can't trade in their games. And you know, name all the Steam games that you've purchased that you've traded back in to somebody else for credit. Steam's about to let you do that supposedly, you know like trade and exchange, but they're going to take a fee from it."

Interesting. At the moment, if you delete a game you've purchased, you may not get anything back in return for offloading it, but you can download it again in the future. Giving consumers the option of forsaking that convenience in exchange for credit towards future purchases would, we'd imagine, go down a treat with most of Steam's regular users.
