Well, we can't always expect Steam go give us big discounts 365 days every year right? If you are lucky, you're getting the said games at the lowest price possible, else just consider yourself to be lucky not to buy it at full price.

Steam oh Steam. Why do you have to f* up at the wrong time each time there are big sales?

It's been a few hours since I logged a support ticket but still no response.

YAY for Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After reviewing the information below, if you believe your card has been declined in error please try your purchase again.

The whole Steam forum was plagued with users going rage over this issue as many has missed their favourite games' big discounts.

Wahahaha... this is just like World Cup, big disappointment for those of us with big expectations!

Portal used to be free though.

It's a good game but very short; just a few hours is all you need to have the cheeky Still Alive song humming from your speakers.

Guys, just as a reminder, the Summer Sale will end at 1am Tuesday morning, not 1am Monday so if you have any games that you've yet to purchase, tonight 1am is the deciding hour.

For PayPal, it's just the normal price with exchange rate applied.

For my case, the rate is the same 'coz PayPal will charge the credit to my bank & it'll still follow the bank's exchange rate.

No, it'll end Tuesday 1am, which means that tonight's 1am discount will be the last.

Based on the various forums that I went to, Steam do accept debit card but I'm afraid you'll have to wait for someone with experience on purchasing Steam games with debit card to clarify further. IIRC, a few LYN guys in previous thread failed to purchase via debit card.

Sounds like a great advice to avoid purchasing via debit card.

I'm sorry if I somehow gave you the impression that I'm dissing debit card user. I think PayPal is a good alternative for those without CC but alas, LYN has banned PayPal sale so I guess PayPal is not that accessible anymore here.

1 more hour to go! Are you ready guys? I'm praying hard that Steam doesn't give me the same ol' crap as what I had last night about my CC being declined.

Not sure if you're replying me but if you were, I don't think that's the case. You can click on below link to view through all 20 pages (not including various minor threads littering the Steam forum) of people getting frustrated for having their account locked up from doing any purchase even with no changes to their payment info.

Added on July 5, 2010, 12:56 amHow cheap was Bioshock 2 during the Summer Sale? The reason I'm asking is due to Borderlands is now back to 66%. When it was been placed under daily sales category 2 days ago, it was 66% before reverting back to 33% last night. Now it's back to 66% so I'm not sure if there're other games affected as well.
