Hi,
Need help......i already create moviesheet using thumbgen but when i press slow
button it show moviesheet but when i press up/down button nothing happen.....
press enter button also nothing.How i can index preview moviesheet and play the movie.

Moviesheet (jpg) must be placed in same folder as movie and named as 0001.jpg to make sure it's the first jpg that the POHD displays. The movie will play when you press 'enter' button when the moviesheet is displayed on the screen. If there is no movie found in the folder it won't play.

Pressing 'Next' button will display the next folder with a jpg file (the first jpg file it finds). That means you have to have name all your moviesheets in each movie folder with the same name '0001.jpg'.

Ok thanks but i have create folder example A movie...inside it have:

0001.jpg
A.mkv
another i forget

but nothing happen.......what firmware should i use cause i never install firmware.

Older FW don't work with Tumbgen. The newest official 3582 will work, but is is very unstable and lots of bugs. So I suggest use the older Beta 4318 FW.

I use POHD mini...can i install Beta 4318 FW....maybe this is silly question.

No for Mini, use back Mini FW.

what firmware......cause i just use external hdd only and watch movie...
nothing else.

You have to try it out yourself, because I am not using the Mini.

Added on October 1, 2010, 12:22 pmAfter brief testing I reverted back to Beta 4318. Most of the earlier reported bugs still not fixed.

Few good things with this release is they 'managed' to put back the Time seek bar and the 'Menu' selectiion function.

Hi, I am new to this thread and interest with AC Ryan PlayOn.

I have few questions especially on video streaming online rather than from playing from external HDD

a) Can we stream online video channel or Live channel such as 'USTREAM' from PlayON/PlayOn Mini to LCD TV?

b) Is there any preset streaming online video channels available in PlayOn or PlayON mini (similar to preset internet radio, SkyFM, Live365, BBC, etc.)?

For the Playon HD Mini
What is the mAx HDD size for the USB HDD that you can attach?

this is what i use to do last time. unplug your HDD from AcRYAN and plug it to your computer via toaster or whatever method that can connect to your PC. then once detected. right click on that drive, go to properties and click on tools. then go to Error Checking and click Check Now. it should be able to make correction to the file.

Do this once a while and u wont have that kind of problem (unless it the HDD itself going to kaput).

If you have extra space then backup your existing movie then i suggest you format the HDD with Acryan.

Appreciate your advise and help on the above.

no limit if not mistaken, i know someone is using Hotway 4HDD with 8TB (2TB HDD Drive) and all are detected.

Added on October 5, 2010, 9:19 amNot sure about AcRYan but another "Brand" do have this function in which u can create and add your own preferred feeds in the existing channel.

Try browsing thru AcRyan forum and look for community project. if not then u need to create your own PHP scripting

This thread is almost dead. But I see Ex-POHD user keeping this thread alive

AC Ryan development team is no longer capable of any good working FW. It appears they can't even fix simple problems found in previous official FW released about a month ago (A real lemon release).

Perhaps all their previous staff have left and they are now using their 'office boy' to do the programming
