Just curious... Your Probox is configured in RAID 5 or JBOD? Is the USB 3 connection able to see the RAID 5 / JBOD array?

I'm looking to buy external HDD... but i'm not sure whether to buy 1Tb or 2Tb... icon_question.gif
what brand is good? Do you know what price does it cost for 1tb and 2tb? icon_question.gif

RM250 can pretty much give you quite some choices for 1TB smile.gif

now day i go for WD, if 10-15 year ago yes SG if my choice, now WD never fail me (torrent 24/7 ! since 3year with same WD Hdisk).

Not remember detail but i read before if bigger capacity then 500GB better go for WD coz bigger 500GB SG got firmware problem, now i dont know abt it maybe they solve firmware issue.

Samsung and Hitachi just my friend got bad experience sweat.gif

WD is also my choice, i use it since year 2000.
Untill now i have 5 WD hdd 20gb, 80gb, 250gb, 640gb and 1tb black, they never fail me.

Seagate give me bad experience, so i'll avoid it.

Thinking of getting an external myself. Currently looking at Samsung's Story Station. Any idea if its decent ?

Any good brand of external hard disk with anti-shock proof? Is the anti-shock proof 'real' or just a marketing gimmick?
Heard that have this features is transcend, any other choices?

just went for a survey at Digital Mall yesterday, if im not mistaken, buffalo also has it. 500gb Rm 185-193. *somewhere around that price

does external 2.5" hard disk utilise the e-sata port that come with my laptop? plan to get WD passport usb3

hey guys just a quick question, if my western digital Caviar black i bought 1 years + ago got "giak giak giak giak" sound (the usual HDD start to fail sound) can i send it to RMA? they will fix it or replace a new 1 for me ??

Must check whether your laptop or desktop are with 3.0 motherboard or not(3.0 usually for new computers). 2.0 usb is for old computer, but not very sure what year of production. Anyone knows?
