3 years with 3 years complete cover is RM668...
don't compare it with Acer's warranty, they don't come to your place to fix it tongue.gif

and if you really intend to extend the warranty, better do it when customizing the notebook else the price will be more expensive later on..

Actually im also skeptical bout the 3 year warranty. Quite a bit of money. It covers when something happens. If nothing, then quite wasted.

The problem is, you never know what's going to happen in the future..its Insurance icon_rolleyes.gif...well, like you said, covers everything when something happen but wasted when nothing occur but then again, for safety measure, its best to have something to rely on when accident happen, no tongue.gif

Added on July 3, 2010, 12:41 amJust choose which you think is the best for you...as for me, 2 years in enough nod.gif..3 years when you want to use the laptop for quite a long time icon_rolleyes.gif

you're right. after double checked, i found that i had mistakenly referred to windows defender which dint have antivirus feature, sorry for misleading

Added on July 3, 2010, 6:05 amby the way, does anyone feel the dell supplied powercord is too short? most of the time my adapter brick will hang in the air when plug into the wall socket. i had just compared with another acer's powercord, it is double the length (4ft) of the dell's (2ft). however, the acer (typical) powercord connector is not angled and longer so not possible to wrap around the adapter brick

you're half right, by default acer wont provide onsite service. however if you pay for onsite serivce warranty (RM99 if not mistaken) they will come

What you've mentioned above is quite true also. Accidents happen and we dont know when. I'll probably settle for 2 yrs as 3 yrs is quite high price. RM4999 XPS 16!
