anyone monitor the price of dell studio xps 16 (1640) RM2999? Let me know if the price drops or hardware specs upgraded. Dell SA told me got price protection for 2 weeks from the day i receive the item. Meaning if price drop or hardware specs upgrade, i will receive rebate, lol

QUOTE(evolution120 @ Jul 2 2010, 10:55 PM) you're right. after double checked, i found that i had mistakenly referred to windows defender which dint have antivirus feature, sorry for misleadingAdded on July 3, 2010, 6:05 amby the way, does anyone feel the dell supplied powercord is too short? most of the time my adapter brick will hang in the air when plug into the wall socket. i had just compared with another acer's powercord, it is double the length (4ft) of the dell's (2ft). however, the acer (typical) powercord connector is not angled and longer so not possible to wrap around the adapter brick Added on July 3, 2010, 6:09 am QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Jul 2 2010, 11:22 PM) 3 years with 3 years complete cover is RM668... you're half right, by default acer wont provide onsite service. however if you pay for onsite serivce warranty (RM99 if not mistaken) they will comedon't compare it with Acer's warranty, they don't come to your place to fix it This post has been edited by davehii: Jul 3 2010, 06:09 AM |

QUOTE(astria @ Jul 9 2010, 08:48 AM) it is still dual channel... sorry, how true is the above statement?the catch is that 2GB in the 4GB module will run in dual channel mode with the other module, but the remaining 2GB will be in single channel... because i had found http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/learnmore/...imen&~tab=topic "You may select a 3GB (1x1GB + 1x2GB) configuration, which does not match your memory in pairs, but this will not allow you to optimize the benefits of dual-channel architecture." |
