Heard of slip? Bee Hock sent the engine to a foundry in Butterworth to do it. No power increase, just some reliability enhancement while maintaining high compression ratio tongue.gif

btw, I can't join the TT liao, no bike to join  sad.gif

wow, nice. Not the std block, I hope?
will the new sleeve have surface treated or polished? just curious, no experience in this one.
Just a thought, do you need to use RON97 for the high compression?

unluckily I got no friend who are riding LC... ~.~

I'll be riding last place, since got smoke bah. After TT, I'll go Simpang Ampat Kok Kee used part shop to look for rims.

not that far for me lah. some more i ride TZM tomorrow... question is, if I want the rim, how to carry back nia.

It's in Penang one, just the mainland area... not very far, if anyone interested, can follow me also.

highway FC is usually better than city riding, because of braking and acceleration.

Find at motor shops, only some will sell.
Some shops will keep the jets after cabut from other ppl's carb. Go hunting a bit lah. Should cost ~RM3-5 a piece.

the fun part is really going 'through' the truck, which tells me that the width of TZM is same of an LC. haha nice.
Kinda regret not going for the sprint with that wira now.

I went to Spg Ampat, thanks to Saranjeevi's info, I found a set of original Suzuki rims for my RGV. Condition is ok, but cosmetic is really bad. Paint coming off, a lot of dirt and stain...
That place really like a chop-shop, all kinds of old bike parts got one... not much for LC, I think, since brand new stuff still widely available, and not many ppl scrap their LC yet. Lots of carburator, old meter, new meter, chain cover, etc...
Send for Tokico to spray + new bearing for RM50. I ask for matte black, like one of the rims hanging there.

@zelk, if you need any ori parts for EX5, and don't mind used quality, can go find there. Perhaps can get sport rim there cheap cheap also.

I found the shop but I havent buy yet. They said they would sell. Its in kampar old town; since there is a shop in kampar, then I dont need to travel 44 km+ to ipoh to get the jets.

Need 2 days of time to do my carb, so plan to do it next week. Need to take off body kit le, so mafan.

Oh ya, I'm driving yamaha ego, old ego, not ego-s, but the keihin carb settings is very similar to LC carb.

Just notice your siggy, MJ 105 and PJ 20? Ahak, i'm going for MJ 110+, PJ 38+

2 days? why ah?
PJ 38??? why ah? too much petrol your plug will foul, and yet not much power increase one werr...

If just counting kapcai, RG got 3 types: RG Sports (110cc), RGV (120cc) and RGX (125cc, front rear disc brake).
Can see from the lamp: RG Sports flat and rectangular, RGV like mine, RGX a bit diamond like 125z one...

Added on July 27, 2010, 12:29 amI went to Tokico ask about the side mirror got LED one, the taukeh said he doesn't stock them...

I think, if you all want, gather some quantity to get good discount, either ask 268, NBH or Tokico...

actually i got problems with my bike.. i just bought the bike about 2 days ago, 1st owner already change rear brake and original sport rim to racing boy sport rim and disc brake. the problem is the rear disc brake doesn't function well (kurang makan lah) i already went to 4 shops at bangsar for inspection.. but got 4 difference suggestions:(
1st shop) i have to change the whole brake system because the rear brake i used got only 1 pinston...i donno what hell is that
2nd shop) try change the brake lining (never do it yet)
3rd shop) they tried pump the brake and do some adjustment, but i doesn't do well
4th shop) they said, they can't do anything because they said that problem rises when modified the bike...
so, if i have to change whole brake system, can u guys suggests the good brand and gud price to me @ just change certain parts..thanks
*
@aasif90: What can you tell from the brake pump and the calipers? Got brand? Can you touch the surface of the disc, and see if it is 'rata'?

- Disc brakes have 2 komponen, pump and caliper.
- Pump, sometimes called "master pump" is connected to the brake foot pedal.

- Caliper, the number of "pots" or "pistons". Sometimes the pots are on one side, sometimes both sides.

- Example: double sided 4 pots.

I will go to sentul today to get some advice from mechanics there..

ok, let us know. maybe check the brake pads, maybe kena brake oil last time...

I found this blog:Choice between NSR, TZM & KIPS

It sums up few things:
1. DevilVanc is right.
2. It takes NSR 2nd gen or NSR SP to beat a TZM.

Additional sharing:
TZM only have 1 look throughout lifetime. Only some minor mods to engine.
NSR had 3 version, 1st one with rim lidi, NSR RR & NSR SP (Proarm). All NSR rear rims are 18inch, hard to find tire...
KIPS has ~5: KR150A - KR150C, the latest is KR150F, if not mistaken. Older KIPS rear rims 18inch also...

hey bro Alex.. wanna ask something.. my fren ride rgv right.. he recently change fork oil.. and then just now he complain to me.. saying he go over bump.. got 'pak' sound.. he got a feeling like his front rim going to break soon.. LOL.. u got experience that ar..? he go bump only can feel that.. who else change fork oil experience that..? so far i feel my rim and front tyre still intact properly...
*
Mine also like that... that's the "topping out" of the fork... this means, the fork will extend all the way until reach max length, then hit the limit.
Ask your friend to confirm, it "tok" loud after the wheel cross the bump, and try to reach for the road, right?

comparing a normal vs the race ready 2-stroke bikes, just look at the compression ratio.

Normal TZM/KIPS/NSR is ~6.5:1.
RS125 is 12.5:1, some more use Dellhorto 28mm carb... all racing parts.

RS125 is street legal because it is stock with 'restricted' CDI, making the bike have cutoff... can find ways to derestrict it one.

QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Jul 27 2010, 11:59 PM)
HOTBIKE there got 1 old aprillia RS250.. 14k.. sweat.gif  front 2 disc brake.. can imagine how fast it can run lol.. my friend tell me.. RS250 can fight 600cc sportbike  brows.gif

and for not racing kaki or unable to control eh people don't ride better.. because it can "fly".. my friend told me eh..  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
that's right... MotoGP is going to eliminate Class 2 - 250cc 2-stroke, and change it to 600cc 4-stroke.
for track days, ppl put Yamaha R6 and TZR250 together...

2-stroke with the powervalve thing (I showed some of you during TT) on the race ready bikes have a very sharp power curve, imagine like V-tech.

well, any big CC bikes also can lose control during downhill or wet roads when you open throttle too quickly...

If any of you notice, the bike racers have disfigured last two fingers one? It's because they only use the last two fingers to pull throttle, and the index and middle finger always on the brakes...

2.)prepare for "emergency" brake ?

I guess emergency brake kut... actually, sambil brake sambil throttle is a way to control the bike.
Try this, ride in straight line at very slow... see how long you can go without goyang goyang... then try again, slightly depress rear brake, pull throttle, and go at the same speed... notice the difference? sometimes, I use this way to navigate big bikes through cars... and this is how traffic police do parade on bikes and riding so slow and steady.
