standard formal dress code, things u often see teachers wear in school. lately smart casual is also accepted, but no flipflops/slippers.

no. diploma, matriculation and certain asasi are acceptable.

yup jeans is allowed. for my fac FSKSM, we do wear slippers to fac cause we attend lectures at lab. So need to take off shoes often.

but wearing jeans with slippers sometimes looks weird and during new intake period, lectures might lecture you abit

depends. like i said, smart casual is acceptable. but jeans koyak and the likes are usually bordering on the red line. but then again, there's no prefects or guru disiplin that's gonna chase u for it. but officers or lecturers might reprimand u for not complying to the rules. but it's not gonna fail u or anything.

which rankings? there are a bunch.

on webomatrics and the other one about websites, UTM is number 1.

on most other academic rankings, UTM is usually 2nd after USM.

What do we normally do during orientation? Do the seniors bully the juniors?

sanctioned bullying have died since my time (1995), long before any other IPTAs even began to show signs of reducing bully cases in their campus. this is something that UTM have always been proud of. of course, there's always the isolated cases.

point is, dont give in to any bullying. report it, and the authorities will come down hard on those idiots.
