actually u cannot. im an ex utm student. i brought my car when im in the 1st year in utm. when the "pak guard" ask, just say that it is a kereta sewa or u lend it from ur seniors.

Added on July 26, 2011, 12:37 amwell, sometimes they will ask for ur matrix card. then u will get caught. just confidently say that it is a rented car, then it will be okay. n also depends on ur luck. btw, 4 years my car dont have utm sticker.

but now pak guard dah strict balik u know..once in a while ada roadblock dlm utm. hah that one kantoi la. using car rental goin to cls is it? not so smart anymore

to have peace of mind, just get the sticker. now they will start ronda at every fac and check student transport for sticker

i've received my letter from UTM...and read all the details

based on the given information, im ASSUMING that i'd be sitting for sem 1(1st semester/1st year)

let's say if that happens, is there any procedure that i need to do...skipping 1st sem and jump to 2nd sem or 2nd year

what do u mean by skipping the 1st sem n jump to 2nd sem? u need to have enough kredit hours for u to get urself a degree n complete it. u can only jump n skip from diploma to a degree if u perform well during diploma. probably the only way to finish quick is by overloading ur kredit hours in one sem.

as far as i know, pengecualian kredit only works for diploma holders or students holding certain certificate to give them exception from taking certain subjects. check on http://www.spaceutm.edu.my/portal/akademik/RESOURCE%200708-2/BUKU%20PERATURAN%20AKADEMIK.pdf. i also not sure.

as a matter of fact...i do have my diploma

and the courses im taking for degree is closely related with my diploma

though im not really studying directly under UTM, more likely a private collage that offers UTM course (i forgot what it is called, joint-programme..?)

dear seniors, when we enter 2nd year, i was told that we need to reapply for our hostel... can we apply for the same room again? and at the end of 1st year, must we empty our room before sem break? if we really have to empty it, where shuld we put our stuff?

we have to reapply our hostel every time we enter 2nd, 3rd n so on. n we also can apply the same room. but then u need to "kawtim" with the hostel officer or the pengetua.

as for semester break, u need to empty ur room. they will let u leave ur stuff in ur room but u have to pay the rent for as long as ur holiday. dont know how much u have to pay now. check it with the office. they always offer a store room where u can keep ur stuff for the semester break.
