Yar, I quite like it so far too, bought few games from there (including ME2 and Uprising which were on great offers).
Speed is pretty ok and I kinda like their blue coins system, at least you get something back when you buy from them.

What does the blue coin system do?

blue coins is gamergate currency use to buy games same like you direct pay for the games. when you use their blue coin system to buy games you will eventually get a reward of blue coins later on.

And you get a small amount of your buy in blue coins.

I personally have now about 15usd worth of blue coins by buying games on sales, I consider this win-win situation.
Like RA3 Uprising had a special offer a while back, it was at 15pounds but you could get back 75% back as blue coins so the game itself cost me only 3-4pounds.

1) For example a game is usually sold at 50usd but somehow is discounted at 10usd.
If you buy it at 50usd the percentage of blue coins you get is based on 50usd.
If you buy it at 10usd, the percentage of blue coins you get is based on 10usd (so no getting the 50usd blue coins percentage for a 10usd buy)

2) If you meant that if a game is usually sold at 50usd but is now at 10usd and you have 15 usd blue coins equivalent, you can use your blue coins to buy it at 10usd without issue yes

One restriction I know about blue coins is that if you pay with them, you have to have the whole amount available in blue coins.
So you can't use blue coins to top off a cash purchase or use cash to top off a blue coins purchase

Still better than nothing really, I buy usually without thinking about the blue coins systems and it does sometimes let me buy small or heavily discounted games.


After checking you get 5% of the amount you buy on the site added to your Blue Coins.
And you get a bit more Blue Coins when rating, reviewing game etc.

Some games also have some special offers on Blue Coins (like Uprising had when i bought it), pre-orders also have sometimes etc.

To be frank, sometimes GG use the Blue Coins system as a temporary workaround to allow you to get games that are under region-locked promotion. However, it seems like the publishers somehow knew about it & we no longer see the same method being used.

I initially thought that blue coins were sort of like credit card points or something.

Just look at them as an equivalent to those Tesco cards; whenever you buy a game, a small percentage of points is accumulated & you can exchange the points for a game or two once you have collected enough.
