kevinwcw: I've tried a +4 Split Field Close Up Cokin Filter with my Zeiss 135mm F1.8. It is terribly challenging to focus, and at times it seems like it really can't focus at all. I have +2 and +4 close up filters in 55mm size which are much easier to use with the Minolta 70-210mm F4 (giving 1.1:1 magnification.)

zstan: Their 580EXII has a guide number of 58m as well. The flash head is the same size and power, and is produced by Matsushita - not Sony nor Canon.

Note that the flash head and flash are separate - that's why there are two serial numbers - one on the flash head, one on the flash body.

I have definitely done it many times with my A700.

btw if you love bird photography, birds at Japan very-very friendly , usually they can jalan-jalan around people but only fly away if you're half a meter near to them. usually the burung merpati iinm
