if its me , with that kind of budget i'll get a kitlens 1855 with flash f42 used one..
having flash is much more fun. more things i can do or can take with flash. bounce + ambient better than wide aperture with less sharp or noisy pic

but abit heavier to carry around thou. just my 2 cents. also if you get lucky abit can get sal1855 (rm250) + f42 flash (rm500) + 50mm 1.8(rm350)

Hmm...the A550 mounted with flash+1750f2.8 is heavy,cannot imagine those ppl with A900+VG+24-70Z + F58 hanging around their neck

with proper strap that did weight-distributed will have a slight relief (compare to use stock strap provided by sony)

why no flash, u not using a850 and a900, we still have pop-up flash what.

A pop up flash diffuser might help to soften the direct pop up flash. It really helps.

Crumpler strap is a good investment (RM55). Can be bought in KLCC next to SONY Center. It is comfortable enough.

With the battery grip (extra 1 batt), flash and even 18250, I'm like carrying a block. My wife doesn't want to hold it as it is too heavy..haha

wa..what battery u buy? rm50-80 can get decent ones.

Been heard of the Crumpler strap alot,never been a chance to really see/feel it (seldom dropby KLCC) But will definitely go to have a look. Btw,does the Crumpler strap come with Orange colour? I love orange

iamKiet : for that setup, usually they use more expensive strap like the blackrapid or something. Also sometimes bringing extra body lagi berat XD

alucard_my : pop up flash GN is around 12m. if add on diffuser sure shorter. also sometimes if pair with long lenses even sal1870 can get that big big shadow
