But i found some of the blog saying the satellite signal strength bar has been removed in the new OVI map v3.04. Is this true?
Because when i tried to check the satellite signal manually in the 'GPS position' option, i can see there are about 4-5 satellite i have locked on...

Thanks for the info, Xploit Machine. BTW, after i dig some research, i finally got it...The OVI map v3.04 does not show the signal bar. It all represent by the red dot. As long as the red dot shows red color, it meant you are locked up the satellite.... =)

i have another question about the GPS. Currently, i enable the GPS and A-GPS. But i set the postioning method to be 'always ask'. So everytime i search my location or use navigation, it will prompt me saying that 'Connection to network positioning server required. Costs may be incurred', but normally i click no and i still can get my position and use the drive navigation.
So once i clicked 'no', is that meant i'm not using the A-GPS?...bit confused...

QUOTE(cheowkwen @ Jun 12 2010, 07:19 PM) haha....actually i just bought my tube recently..i attracted to this tube because of its free navigation offered.... not only that, i can guarantee you that video playback capability is among the best, not even samsung 2 i8000(can only play it's demo HD helicopter file while any mp4 you put in will not be smooth) or any winmo phone can beat this phone, smoothest of all the rest......even though the 5800 processor is slower.

For me as well garmin is the best option for its up to date maps. I already learn a lesson using non up to date maps it brought me in circle until i was late for my event.
The best nokia phone playback currently is Nokia N900 it can play most format even including Divx videos without conversion or lag. It says MKV and RMVB works too but requires some hack with x-terminal

If the red dot is dim in colour, mean it's still looking for signal, and once it's locked, the red dot will become bright colour. the difference between v3.03 and v3.04 is the performance, when u zooming in or out, the graphic is smoother while v3.03 is slightly lag during zoom progress...
