yup. same thing happed to everyone. fav contact widget not updateable. cannot manage favorite contact too.

That means no hope from you for Symbian? I think Meego won't fail you..you go check the lg device with intel atom and meego...it's freaking powerful and nice...playing hd video im background...now that's real multitasking...

UI, multitasking is one thing, but how about hardware n performance? i need something that is good in between.

so there are no other ways to fix it?

btw. you don't have to remove battery. you just turn the sensors off. then restart phone. then turn phone back on. and turn on your sensors in the settings area. it'll work.

Proc is Intel Atom...you say good or not?...

finally C6 v11 CFW for Nokia 5800 with English and Chinese (Simplified Chi) is supported...

btw, the downloaded file is not ROFS2 and it was full CFW...

i solved it already..hehe..

u can't use backup to transfer back the contact..u need:

*open contact
*copy bussiness card to other memory card>>E:/
*do hard reset
*then go to contact
*copy bussiness card from other memory>>E:/
*then u can set the favourite contacts!

Doesnt work on me sometimes.... but before i restart my phone i will try tht method, if other else failed i only restart...

Bro, thank you for the sharing.
I'm still testing the mentioned CFW since yesterday night till now. I found out several issue :
1) Music Player - not working. It don't refresh, even I refresh manually, it's stated File Corrupted. With original CFW, it refresh the 1st time I use the player.
2) Battery drain off much faster then Ori C6 V11 CFW
3) Not able to back up from File Manager for setting, contact, message and so on.
4) Express Music soft-touch not working or disabled.
5) No File Browser


Beside the above, I am able to view & write Chinese. It's fonts are nice & easy to read.
I may consider to revert back to C6 V11 CFW with NFE's export this CFW's fonts & Prcchinese & cook into the ori C6 V11 CFW.

Shall see if possible to get this right.

So far, I've tested all the problem stated above.
1) Music Player work well. Refresh OK. No corrupt detected. Even HS Music Widget work perfectly.
2) I realise that battery drain fast too. It happen on all ported C6-5800 CFW. From morning til night, battery dropped 1 or 2 bar after heavy SMS and few minutes of GPS use.
3) Backup and restore no problem. Work well for me.
4) Xpress button work perfectly. No problem.
5) Nokia File Browser removed due to limitation of ROFS2 file. You can install X-Plore manually since RomPatcher is integrated into this FW.

It's nice if you able to cook your own CFW using the font from this firmware. Please do share your cooked CFW ya...

Hi guys, I have a problem with my 5800 XM.
Whenever I connect the phone to OVI using USB, the phone memory and Micro SD shows 0Kb free.
When connect to OVI as File Transfer device, the system show the correct free space.

Another problem is that when I go to file manager, I tried to run the backup, but was not successful. The error message was that the phone memory was full.

The phone mem is 20.2 MB free and memory card has 4.5GB.
I already clear all the internet cache etc. Still the same problem.
Anyone ever experience such problem and the solutions.

Um, if you would like to do files transferring, please select Mass Storage Mode from your phone after the menu pops out. I'm only familliar with Nokia PC Suite.

As for the backup, try restarting and re-do it.. Hope it helps, never seen this kind of problem b4.

i'll never bother to use OVI suite.. just connect using Mass Storage and transfer files via Win Explorer.. and if not wrong when u connected as Mass Storage u can't see the memory card contents via ur phone..
