That's one bug that frequently annoyed me.... if it wouldnt work after a restart... take out yr battery for a few minutes then plug in back.
It works like a charm although its superrrr troublesome.

look like 5800 become hot nokia phone again.
I wondering why go for 5800, since now the new X6 is cheap, with capacitive touch screen, i believe the build quality will be better than 5800. Anyway, i am using 5800 for almost 1 year

Firmware bugs, capacitive multi-touch not available yet, charge restart method, high WSOD occurrence.

help guys, i cannot update the firmware
i tried the *#0000#,
shows software version : v21.0.025
type : rm-356

then options, check for updates through wifi, shows no updates available

downloaded the ovi suite 2.2.0245, crashes when update, any one can help ?? pm pls

edit, some updates
well, downloaded nokia software updater (NSU)
installed, ran first time, and was downloading new firmware till the wifi connection of my pc disconnected.

then ran nsu again, it hangs ... and end up with configuration error.

then stopped internet connection sharing (ICS), ran the NSU again, an this time it doesnt hang anymore,

so plug in LAN and now downloading the firmware from the internet,

main problem is NSU + Windows VISTA !!!!

i hope it flashes without a problem,

ps. i had battery problems with the phone, do you think the firmware would solve it ?
anyone has experienced problems with battery ?

Urm...Firmware not really buggy smile.gif, and Multitouch I think can give up ady...don't think Nokia 's giving us but who knows biggrin.gif, What do you mean charge restart?...I don't have this issue also...and WSOD can happen to any Symbian phones beacuse once your app crashes, then you can't boot...it happened to both my X6 and N97 but once I know which app gives the problem and delete that app...no more WSOD biggrin.gif

X6 is definitely better than 5800 generally...most importantly the sensitivity of Capacitive rocks yo biggrin.gif

- Charge restart/or something really similar naming to it, check in X6 page, i think a few forummer and my friend experienced it.
- Since X6 is using a build in mass storage, it would be more troublesome than 5800's hot swappable microSD.
- Capacitive screen couldnt work without finger/conductor stylus. But resistive can work with anything pokeable and fingers too!

Not saying I am a fanboy, but basically most mid range phones from nokia have similar specs.
But 5800 customization is much more diverse compared to other models with CFW and OCed functions.

I agree with the outdated part - which is the design...
