QUOTE(winstorm08 @ Jul 13 2010, 09:38 PM) wa lau ... then RM400++ just gone like that ???? Can even open it manually and see how to re-insert another rechargeabe battery ???? I knew this mouse is big eater but never though is so bad design..... lucky i don't own this mouse..., even my G7 No any Lag , everyday use 7-8 hours, still can last up to nearly 3 months with a standard TESCO alkaline battery... Tesco battery is the best for budget battery mah~ I oso use em for my X360 controllers~ so what should I get next after selling my Alien G9? hmmm... should I get Kova or try a wireless one like Rapoo V8?

QUOTE(yupio @ Jul 13 2010, 03:23 PM) Razer Mamba concern : I've been using the Mamba for several months now and recently suspect battery is having some issue....on full charge, after several hours of gameplay, battery goes flat.... A check with Razer found that the li-ion battery pack is not sold separately. Meaning, once battery died...wireless Mamba becomes 'wired' Mamba unless u wanna buy another set of Mamba. Wahlauh, if confirm like that i better take out my battery, coz i use it in wire mode most of the time,

KOVA still ok to consider. But don't really agree with you to "think" about Rapoo.... Design looks OK, price cheap but.... realiability is a "big Crab".... my friend like cheap coz its below Rm50, bought one, after click for few days, the click button went stuck sometimes, later cursor starts "unstable" or not responsive... after i help him "tear" out the mouse inside and check, found that it was all made by cheap IC.... poor soldering job....

QUOTE(enriquelee @ Jul 13 2010, 11:15 PM) Wahlauh, if confirm like that i better take out my battery, coz i use it in wire mode most of the time, In that case, it proved 2 things: 1. Mamba is a "Heavy Battery Eater" OR Using "not so" good wireless technology (co nowadays, good and decent wireless mouse are all "low power consumption" oriented ). 2. OR .... the worse is...... they bundle with lousy rechargeble battery. My statement might not be "like" by someone.... but its a fact that i can think of.

Well, the Mamba's battery is a square one lithium ion (similar to mobile phone's) so any other battery (AA, AAA or others) wont work for Mamba. The battery can be taken out easily as the Mamba has a battery door where the battery is inserted...it is designed to be replaceable easily without the need of any tools. The only problem is you cannot buy the battery anywhere at all and Razer also admitted that they do not sell the battery individually....so what's the point in making the battery replaceable but no replacement part duh... Oh ya, and comparing to Logitech MX518, Logitech VX and Microsoft Sidewinder X8...Mamba indeed requires more juice to run. Logitech and Microsoft I have runs for at least a month or even more on a single charge (rechargeable AA)...Mamba only runs for few days on normal non gaming use....only hours for gaming use. If your hands/palm is small have to target smaller mouse lor. If your hand is kinda big than can get sumthing like Roccat Kone or SS Xai..
