mouse for me any mouse also can, even RM10 mouse play game, also can win there guy are using hundred++ mouse

Gaming gear for me is not means the tools will make the user become pro.

Most of this gear (mouse, keyboard, headset) is for better gaming experience.

Mouse: more comfortable, not tiring for long time gaming, precise accurate.

Keyboard: for me not really only for gaming, a good keyboard will make user enjoy typing as well.

Headset: never bought and not buying any gaming headset, bought hi fi headset for music and movie enjoyment only.

hello, i would like to pointed out that gaming mouse only provides you with the privileges of using the mouse more comfortable as well as using macros and programable keys to make your game handy. Gaming mouse doesn't makes you become pro in gaming.

Mouse limits your skill, if your skill lower than mouse limit, then buying a gaming mouse doesn't improve your gaming, but it makes your gaming life more comfortable and easy.

Only word or you, TRUE.

4.5/5, should be good then  laugh.gif

You bought it from which shop? feel like testing one unit.
from all the pictures I saw, looks more like those portable Pyra-shaped mouse. Didn't expect it to be almost the size of DA.
*
Huh? I don't think it's shape similar to either Pyra or DA.

can anyone recommend me a good mousepad to pair up with my Ikari Laser? I actually owns both Ikari Laser and Optical, and will be buying Xai in January...(doing steelseries collection) i need a really really good mousepad and im pretty hardcore in RTS game....not sure which type of mousepad suites me. prefer cloth (like Razer Kabuto) cuz it will be a plus to be my laptop's keyboard protector =3 prefer steelseries oso cuz it will be in my full SS collection XDD budget not that important as i can afford up to 1xx..

err.....i know steelseries QCK has starcraft 2 version of it. so if QCK is good, i might want to get the starcraft 2 version. still, performance and material comes first.
*
Personally love the pairing of Ikari laser and 4hd but not all user like slippery surface like 4hd and destructor.

PS:don think Ikari Optical best with 4HD (so consider both you owned, Qck+ original edition is my suggestion, and size is depends on your preference and space availability on your desk)
Qck+ and Qck is super smooth surface among cloth mat (my opinion based on comparison of Qck and goliathus)
Qck+ limited or special edition with different printing has higher friction (i really think so, try feel the friction force properly if you disagree)

Anyway, I considered myself SS fanz also, not owning Xai yet as well since not ambi user but just wanna buy for collection purpose.

Suggest you increase the budget to 80+ and get logitech MX518, not bad and super durable gaming mouse.

Btw its for FPS
Kinda dont like the design of it  biggrin.gif

Edit : If possible suggest me laser mouse
*
For the budget you give, I really think it is a best gaming mouse that fit.

Any way, if you don't like it (myself also, some bad prejudice to logitech) then get a Kinzu OEM version.
If you still can find any Kinzu in lowyat shop just go ahead (mostly out of stock).
The price will bit about RM59. I owning a Kinzu as well, the retail version is costing about RM140 which with braided wire and white scroll wheel, otherwise is same with the OEM version.

Paiseh it still an optical mouse. If you looking some brand like Razer, Steelseries, Logitech, and Roccat, with budget less than RM150 is quite hard to get a laser mouse.

No offense but for some reason i don't like razer smile.gif ,how about a4 tech??
*
I not really Razer fanz also and of cause not Razertard. I more to Steelseries.

For me no offence also. A4 is a cheaper brand, if say you are looking for some pro gaming grade of gears, then just can say A4 tech is not at the same band.
Anyway, for normal usage of cause no problem, a nameless RM10 mouse can use also and maybe can last 5 years, who knows.
The differences maybe in wise of comfortability, sensor tracking power, accuracy, precision, life expectancy etc.
A more expensive gaming gear with some extra feature like macro recording, lighting, MMO gaming mouse with more than 10 buttons which are not really necessary to some of the user, just how you perceive.
A mouse that you comfort with its shape, size, precision, and price than is good enough. Again, if say you choosing an A4 tech gaming mouse with price about maybe 4o to 60 or whatever, I will prefer Kinzu, just my 2 cent.

Kinzu OEM pack. Nicest mouse at this price range. For me, it work perfectly after add the glide kinzu. If can find can use glide Xai also.

Could someone recommend me a very good mouse and mousepad combination

budget is <400

preferred traits > ultra smooth tracking and 'no' friction if at all tongue.gif

heres my research

1. KONE [+] + SS 9H ( since xai and kone + uses the same sensor (correct me if im wrong) )

any other recommendations?
*
Below 400 can do lot combination.

Firstly must decide your preference.
Ambi? Ergo?

Least friction slippery glide i will recommend you get a hard mat. (ironclad, SS HD surface, Destructor etc)

Ergo mouse choices. (How come you ask for ergo mouse but researched about Xai)

Ikari laser, Imperator, Kone (maybe wait for Konw[+]), Deathadder, Mamba (over your budget)

Choose based on your preference.

Just read back your old post, lol found some mistake, no such thing as 9H i think you talking about 9HD.

hmm

you listed ikari laser as the first choice..

mind entertaining me more on this??

cons and pros vs imperator?
*
The shape, type of ergonomic is depends on user's own preference, mine is Ikari.

In sensor wise, cant notice any significant difference in tracking power for both the sensor, of cause imperator can achieve higher dpi.
Not sure how about Imperator DPI toggle system. I satisfied with My Ikari Laser, no need any software to change dpi. Just use the button below the scroll wheel and save it at the onboard memory.

The Imperator having a glossy surface at both side, but Ikari was rubber coated, depends which type you prefer to grip it.

Scroll wheel, SS scroll wheel is the worst thing in all it feature. I compared my Ikari laser, Kinzu and DA, the best scroll wheel still the DA, tight. SS's scroll wheel is easier be loosen after long term usage.

The Xai and Kinzu's scroll wheels are still ok. My old Ikari Optical was RMAed once for a very loose scroll wheel.
*
But still think Razer done better for the scroll.

scroll wheel is a major concern for me as i use them alot...

alright that's out of my list..

i need a mouse which is as good or better than the DA 1800 and mx518..

also..

i need a mousepad which just glides.. i want the mouse to feel "airy"

please advice..
*
SS scroll wheel is actually nice, but i think after the age more than half year then the performance of the scroll is dropping. The sound also not nice anymore.

If you like the ergo of DA, just get the 3500dpi version. Nice mouse, only complaint is the heat release, made my destructor and 4HD hot.
Overall top rated mouse of myself are Ikari Laser, Mamba, Naga, DA, Kinzu, then only Imperator. I rate this based on my own preference mainly on comfortability.

Airy? Ironclad? or Steelseries HD and SX. And polish the mouse feet with SS glide Dot.

i'm using the new DA. so far no problem with it, but some sites say theres jitter problems if paired with cloth mat but i dont experience any jitter at all when paired with goliathus speed.

but, if you have no need for higher dpi than 1800 dpi, i would say go for the old DA too, if you can find it that is.
*
I using DA as well, no any jitter issue with any of my mouse mat in my collection (4HD, Destructor, Goliathus Control, Qck+ moon)

New and old DA not really only differ with higher DPI, a different sensor of cause with a better tracking power, better accuracy, precise and stable, every thing.
I am not sure whether because of the age of the product, but compared my old DA refresh with my friend's old DA, there are some different in precision wise.

Hm...can anybody tell me what is the difference between abyssus and deathadder? both have the same sensor...just deathadder got 2 side buttons and scroll wheel with LED lights? or still got other differences??
*
Swt, 1 is ergo another is ambi, totally different category of mice serving different preferred user.
Try yourself for which preferred shape only decide which to grab.

Added on December 17, 2010, 8:39 pmCan, why not claw gripping a DA.
And i think claw gripper will do better vertical movement compare palm grip.
My way is ring finger and pinky put not to too front part of it, about parallel and same level with thumb (means made it more like ambidextrous mouse)
