QUOTE(Wijjog @ Oct 5 2010, 03:19 PM) Let your speaker run in 1st....syok sound will have after you run in it for around 1 days with loud volume of pink noise on satellite and another days with loud volume of 50hz for woofer....you'll suffering from annoying sound after you recovered from backache~ This post has been edited by Cosef: Oct 5 2010, 03:42 PM |

Managed to mod my M3300 woofer cables to Cat5e and larger gauge compare to stock. Now the bass sounds really better, at 1st i found it a little improve but after some time listening i found it does much more dynamic bass.
Enjoying the 2V1G albums~ the recording is nice Again, edifier speaker can play such a nice sound |

QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 6 2010, 07:04 PM) The speaker has ability to play out all the sound from source, the speaker price also quite good too in term of price and performance for stock one. Mod just to squeeze out the best potential that the speakers set can do. |

QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 7 2010, 12:13 AM) hmm... when I reread my written review, it seems to be too honest. Show your honesty, they will appreciate you.... but anyway, just to let you know my review comes from my heart my review may hurt the Edifier company too but all I have to do is to say what I have to say so please don't hate me PS: I don't mind if I don't win the prize but all I have to say is thanks for letting me have a chance to review this unit. |

QUOTE(babyrabies @ Oct 8 2010, 06:57 AM) hi, Not sure on the price and materials, but for ease of use get R2000 because the volume control those are on the side ways, R1900TIII is at the back there which is quite headache stuff. Alternate choice would be R1600 for smaller size....Looking forward to my first purchase for an edifier speaker since my 8 years old klipsch promedia died on me... I interested in either R1900 or R2000. Just need to know wats the difference between the R1900TIII and R2000T aside frm the driver sizes... How is R1900 more expensive? |

QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 8 2010, 10:32 AM) lol what do you use to open them? tooth pick is not strong enough.you shud use toothpick. if it snaps, that means too much force oredi I think pliers will unbend your grill well What i done is use a small flat screw driver to lever it out from bottom. The grill holds it quite strong in there, and the grills are hard. Will upload some of the pics once if i got borrowed a cam....oh no i need to save some to get a digi cam myself... |

But the speaker volume pots have the quickest way to control volume for me.
Finally finish modded my M3300 satellite speaker to bi-wire settings. More detail and dynamic mids and good highs, smoother overall~ Thats what i wanted Sorry i got no pics to share out coz no cam to borrow This post has been edited by Cosef: Oct 9 2010, 01:16 AM |

QUOTE(babyrabies @ Oct 9 2010, 06:16 PM) got the r1900t3 cuz intimidated by the size of r2000. lol! I admit i didnt quite like the sound right out of the box. After changing cables and 6 hours of running in, the sound is so smooth and clear now. the sound quality at this cost is simply ridiculous. Thxs guys. QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 9 2010, 06:25 PM) Bookshelf speaker is easy to burn in....by torturing the speaker.1. Wire the slave speaker to inversed polarity 2. Face both speaker together, kissing each other. 3. Get Burninwave Generator, generate 50hz for 5 hours in loud volume, the volume that before the sound starts to clipping. 4. Generate pink noise or white noise for 5 hours again under loud volume. Remember to ventilate your room, and you have to withstand the loudness from comes out from back of the speaker |

QUOTE(babyrabies @ Oct 9 2010, 10:49 PM) If you afraid you burned the voice coil you can try lower the volume a little, but the bass driver must vibrate at a decent level. Added on October 9, 2010, 11:02 pm QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 9 2010, 10:54 PM) or you can use Edifier burn-in tools No worries, audio signal is AC one, whether you inverse or non inverse the waveform is still there. cuz if u inverse the polarity scared the crossover will rosak... wouldn't recommend blasting it at the first run tho... but nothing big will happen anyway Pics: ![]() Black one is non-inverse, pink one is inverse. What afraid is voice coil burned, I'm not sure whether Edifier has done stress test to make sure that speaker set won't actually burned the voice coil under max load. You need to check the circuit and the woofer crossover there....

QUOTE(beggarmaster2000 @ Oct 12 2010, 10:33 PM) hmmnn something not right about what you said haha I always thought that Logitech plays nice on low frequency bass but then on the video, the Z5500 woofer can react with such low frequency but theres filter on circuit limits the frequency amplitude or cut off so that it can't react at those frequencies. The volume are quite loud, Edifier one response the frequency as it should, but the Logitech goes something wrong.its supposed to means loji plays lower frequency bass and the other plays all thats sounds like bass? i don't know which is right, my friend who works at bose told me about subs.... wouldn't it be messy fengtau sounding? subs are supoosed to play low frequencies only and stay invisible... 'only can feel the bass' now ima confused Normally people wanted 2.1 speaker woofer to sound like come from anywhere but reality it can be heard at a direction so it needs to be positioned. You can have fun with the subwoofer by playing a 5hz tone and see how funny it react, but remember that don't play too long it can be quite stress. |

The bass is too low that unable to listen already, just watching the subwoofer moving. Most of the multimedia speaker does not have crossover, it just let the woofer response to the range it can response.
btw, that circuit quite complex |

QUOTE(nismo91 @ Oct 13 2010, 02:18 AM) well of course not until that low, but at least if the z cinema can output until 27 or 30hz before it's totally unhearable. only when placed in sweet spot the ADA885 can hear at 27hz before starting to get softer and softer. iFi is at 30hz. z cinema is 35hz, everything below is not softer, but blocked instead. that's why after getting used listen to these 2 listening to z cinema got obvious missing tone. poor logitech, not a good thing...by cutting off anything below 35hz, it will lose out the dynamic bass.yes quite complex, but it also include the "DAC" since the usb port is at the back of the board. QUOTE(Edifier @ Oct 13 2010, 11:29 AM) Edifier wins...keep it up~I like Edifier higher end speaker the satellite coz enclosed in a heavy box, having baffle on the speakers and silk dome tweeter This post has been edited by Cosef: Oct 13 2010, 03:22 PM |
