Good side of the defeat..
Kakuta is really great..Bruma is fast..and we now unpredictable..i mean we tend to be suck and be extraordinary sharp...that mean still lack of stability...

i dont see the intensity there. but there were glimpse of our previous season's performance here and there, especially from ashley cole, michael essien and frank lampard. i think brana did great in center half but ferreira couldnt cope with the winger's speed, which would be a problem if we are going to start him. i still dont see anything special with benny, except for a run when he beat a defender on the right flank. turnbull did alright and i wouldnt say its entirely his fault, the ball was rather far away and it got pounced on. kalou and zhirkov lose possession too easily for me. JT had some great displays too. the lads need to wake up and get serious like RIGHT NOW.
oh yeah. about kakuta and bruma, bruma goes in for the tackle too often, gets passed way too easily and kakuta has decent distributions but his dribbling did not really have any effect.

i think first half we have a glimpse of what we used to have in the previous season, only that second half would be like trial n error for CA... we are not gelling well in the second half, no fluidity... wasted too many chances could be 2 or 3 up... hamburg goal for me is purely defensive error, couldnt be turnbull's fault...
bruma defensive positioning suck big time, maybe he hasnt been playing with the team for long... we surely need reinforcement on the right flank... kakuta may be still tired of the previous tourny...

Avoid the error. that's the way it should be.. JT also prone to do error.. Not up to his standard just yet. Fitness would be another issue.
Anyhow, looks like Ramires deal has been completed. What number is he wearing? I think he would go for 13.

what was his number in his previous club? like many have said, he might just take number 4! the team definitely needs competition internally to increase our own standards. it just worries me that united are scoring so freely while integrating youth and young players.

Ramires has 8 for Benfica, and 18 for Brazil. Could be 4, 13 or even 16 for us.

QUOTE(krk24 @ Aug 5 2010, 12:07 PM) 3 hatricks of defeat....a poor pre-season for us.....damm...those german outfits better then us?? anyway lets focus this weekends BIG MATCH...from the pre-season i can see were are very poor in defending and in attacking seems like blunt with no creative ideas...we MUST improve step by step...manu had a good pre-season...so we must not make any more mistakes + played well...put a set of players with the mix of youngsters & seniors who performed at the moment only...kalou seems to be a waste, when opportunity is given, i;m sad on his performance..drogba almost score yesterday...but let wait and see...fingers crossed... should be after german massarce england in world cup, they no fear to english clubs anymore ...

Um we lost to Ajax and Eintracht Frankfurt with our home kit? At this rate, no need to wear kits la! haha
should be pre-season blues i won't read too much into it. CA should be able to coax minimal effort from the boys to nick some 1-0s for the start of the season, and get kicking in maybe mid-season. never easy esp post WC season.

Chelsea Boss Carlo Ancelotti: We Aren't Ready For The New Premier League SeasonQUOTE CARLO ANCELOTTI admits his Chelsea superstars will not be fit for the big kick-off on August 14.
The Premier League champs lost their third pre-season game in a row - 2-1 to Hamburg.
And boss Ancelotti says his World Cup stars are struggling to be ready to face West Brom.
He said: "Some players are in good condition but others need more time.
"The 10 players that only came back to us on July 26 need to have another two weeks of work.
"After just eight days of training it is impossible to be fit.
"We are all disappointed because we have lost three games consecutively so it's not a good start for us.
"Now we have to hope we can come back with a win against Manchester United in the Community Shield on Sunday."
Second-half goals from Mladen Petric and sub Heung-Min Son sank the Blues.
In previous defeats by Ajax and Eintracht Frankfurt, at least Ancelotti could point to the fact that most of his big stars were absent.
But there was no excuse this time as Ancelotti fielded his strongest available line-up and was still unable to stop the rot.
Chelsea made the breakthrough when Michael Essien robbed Jonathan Pitripa to give Frank Lampard a tap-in.
Essien, whose Chelsea career has been decimated by has been hampered by a serious knee injury for the past two years, is finally back to full fitness and ready to make his mark in the campaign ahead.
Unfortunately, too many of his colleagues are looking distinctlyrusty with just nine days to go to the big kick-off.
Chelsea had what looked a perfectly good goal incorrectly ruled outdisallowed for handball by Nicolas Anelka.
But the champions' lack of fitness was there for the entire 45,000 crowd to see as they imploded in the final 20 minutes.
First Ross Turnbull was left stranded by Yuri Zhirkov's suicidal backpass as Petric lifted the keeper.
And with three minutes left, John Terry failed to cut out Tomas Rincon's pass to Son.
The South Korean teenager rounded Ricardo Carvalho with disturbing ease before shooting past Turnbull.
Ancelotti added: "In the past the defence has given out a lot of confidence - but now we are losing some concentration.
"We have made mistakes and now we have to show more character.
"But even if some of our players are not fit, they still have a good presence on the pitch.
"Maybe it's not so important that Lampard and Terry are 100 per cent fit at the start of the season because they have that presence and they will do better. They just need more time playing." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...Prem-start.html

hmm defense seems to be in a constant lullaby at the moment. probably due to all the reshuffling? it was another howler which gave away a cheap goal. yuri i'm looking at you!! what an awful lofted backpass. what was he thinking. we looked good in patches but constantly gave the ball away. i think the players who did reasonably well were nico, lamps, ashley and essien. its not the first time i'm saying this but mikel was the most consistent player on the pitch. strong in the tackle, calm in possession and showed a very aggressive attitude in winning back the ball. its looks like he's steeling himself for ramires's arrival. never a good sign when a defensive player is the highlight of a match though. not quite happy with kakuta's showing, as i felt he was muscled off possession too many times. good to see he learnt his lesson as the match wore on, by quickly finding a pass when being closed down. congrats on winning the golden ball, and hope he gets to start in a different match so its easier to adapt to the pace of the game.
