well, there he goes...Im actually glad Joey eventually pick an England club..personally, i still support him wherever he may play..

Tho, it such a shame we let this boy away, we must admit that Chelsea isn't his place anymore..this is for the sake of both parties..

IMO, releasing Joey is quite ok for me.
I still can't say about Benayoun yet.

thats right. to best honest, joey's performance isnt good enough for us anymore. he isnt the impact player he used to be and its best for him to leave too. he gets to play regular football while he is still 28 and maybe create legend status at liverpool. if he stayed, he might be playing only a handful of games and he isnt exactly at the right side of 20s.

what is going on with the huge amount of players getting injured. i cant believe yuri and benny got injured when they havent even started any games yet. they have to toughen up. this coming season is gonna be a hell of a ride.

joe cole wanted to stay..but the club didnt want to give in to his contract demand. simple as that. cannot blame the club / owner for this. in fact this is a good example for current and incoming player not to mess with the club.

bringing in benayoun which is 30 years old is just a temporary solution, untill our youngster are ready.

good luck to him. at least he didnt join man utd or spurs. joe cole will always be a legend here at chelsea for mevb(unless he do something stupid at liverpool).

Most probably due to his agent publicly trying to get a better deal for DD from Chelsea (new contract, etc etc). Doesn't surprise me, good players will always be subject to transfer speculation, DD should take it as a compliment.

Professionally, I don't think he will leave though, for exact same reasons JT decided to stay.

another new contract? Chelsea gave out a bunch of whole new contracts last season and DD was one of them.

i too dont think DD will leave for city. why would he. city doesnt even have champions league football that DD wants to win.

carlo has stated he wanted joey to stay but since the issue was 'economical' as he so eloquently put it, there was nothing he can do.
i agree with akramulazi. it is a strong statement from the club, and one which is totally necessary in this current economic climate. our players and any incoming personnel need to understand that the days of chelsea awarding big fat weekly paycheques like they were going out of fashion are long gone.

spot on by aw13 as well. its nothing more than an agent trying hard to stir something up, regarding didier's case. after we unceremoniously shoved joey out, his agent is merely clutching at straws at best.

@madfag

Everytime a player renegotiates a new contract with higher value and/or better terms, the agent is entitled to a cut of it. Thus you can understand why agents sometimes 'leak' too much info out to the media.
