What froyo version are you on?
I use Papago x5 very frequently . Since the original eclair 1.6 till Paul 2.1 and Stephen 1.1.1 , 1.4.6 and present 1.5.1 I do not have any issue. That's why I said is perfect. Could it be your Papago version?

I bought mine from m3shoppe

I'm interested in buying 1 now. Anyone willing to help bring back? Customs taxes is the main reason I'm holding back.

It is actually no 10 % sales tax NOT no custom/import tax. If you bring in through couriers eg Fedex etc - you will have to pay and apply a RM 250 SIRIM import permit and certification charges ( up to 3 phones ) . Without this permit, you cannot import it in. Custom taxes you have to budget will take up to another at least 20% - this is based on the declared invoice plus courier charges ( if any ). You also have to calculate in your cost to go to Sirim to apply for permit and is unlikely you will get it in one trip. So most probably you have to pay about RM 2000 landed in your hands

In September, it was RM150 to Sirim (for up to 3 phones, they said) and RM49 to POS malaysia for a brand new HTC HD2 (total cost was about RM1300 after everything, minus transportation). I got the AP in one trip to Shah Alam, but it's stressful and you have to wait like 3 days before you finally get the phone. Was the same in 2009 when I got an iphone too. Would be better if someone was coming from the US, then just carry along.

not to discourage others from bringing in handphone, but I just want to confirm that what Benny said is correct.

To get SIRIM import permit, you have to go to Shah Alam and usually you will just have to fill the form and pay. You will get the authorization number and pass to fedex(or other courier). For poslaju, you have to pay RM50 for them to process for you or you can do it yourself by going to KLIA to settle the next process.

Quite a hassle but if you are bringing 3 units per shipment then it's worth the price and effort.

Update: btw, I just received the new batch of dell Streak and one of them got a hairline crack at the back. If someone interested, I can give special price for that(minus the cost that incur if I send for warranty). The crack is barely visible. PM me and I'll forward the picture and price. Will throw in Plantronics Bluetooth as well.
