and a noob question here,can dell streak connect to internet without wifi or 3g by just connect usb to pc...and using pc internet connection?my previous axim x51v can do that,i still have no idea whether dell streak can to that or not.....

This is a strange request . I am guessing that your PC has no wireless function and internet access is thro ethernet cable and your modem has no built in WiFi router ??

I am also asssuming that you are referring to " Internet Sharing" which is available on Windows Mobile

If this is , you have 2 solutions :

1. Get a USB Wifi card and plug into your PC or get a WiFi router and Connect your phone to PC using WiFi

2. Refer here : http://code.google.com/p/azilink/ - install the app in phone and install OpenVPN

It is not that the default Android do not have this function, it is solely because accessing internet thro WiFi hotspots and 3G is so common , that the old solution of internet sharing as in Windows is not even considered, simply it is darn slow and inefficient. The days of internet sharing thro PC is " dinosaur" method. Even all modern Windows Mobile smartphones do not even encourage users to use such methods - preference is still connection thro PC WiFi ( thro WiFi router or USB WiFi card ). It is not an issue with notebooks as now all notebooks comes builtin WiFi feature

Actually nowadays WiFi router is so common and comparatively cheap - it is best you purchase a WiFi router connect to PC ( about RM 100+you can get one )

Still wonder how come dell taking so long or are they changing their mind edi. Maybe they wait and launch together with the 7" and 10" tablet.

This price of rm1700 is high possibility as the us retail with no contract price was reduced to about rm1280 last week.

I dropped my Streak from nearly 1.8m on concrete floor. A dent on one corner, nearly 4mm long. Even the soft pouch torn due to impact. Luckily the gorilla glass can withstand the impact.

I put my streak on side pocket of my bag and whole bag dropped from hanger

Now got few battle scars on my Streak. 2 long hairline scratches and 1 dent

Ordered Otter Commuter case, hopefully arrive asap
