I just noticed that live wallpaper (with 3D acceleration i guess) and 3D menu (via launcherpro) drain battery faster even when standby.

Drop 4-8% when standby at night (10 hours), hardly used. Airplane mode, wifi on.

With same setting except live wallpaper and 3D menu turned off, only 0-1% drain!

of coz lor.. more animation sure drain very fast.,.

I disabled all animations on my smartphones including live wallpapers. These stuffs only look nice and " gaya" to " showoff" to kawan sometimes. Not practical. Not using it not only save battery usage , one gets better response from the phone

same.. i no use live wallpapers also.. see long d very dizzy.. haha.. the whole background moving thing will disturb my focus always..

another step, another problem...

er...where to find this fastboot.exe? i downloaded from here is it OK?

anyway, the problem is, after i press Shutter + Power, white screen appeared, i tapped on the top right corner for Fast Boot mode, then it shows "Wait for USB FastBoot detect", i waited 10s (as mentioned in the modaco link) then plugged in USB cable, but still nothing happened. Still showing "Wait for USB FastBoot detect".

before all these I have installed DellPCSuite on my WinXP pc, and restarted. Now can't even turn off my Streak

In fast boot mode, to turn off just take the battery out.

The recovery image put in the fastboot.exe in the PC, not the phone.

The folder name when u download it will be like r1-3883-streak-superboot. tat folder inside got your fastboot.exe file.

Rename the fastboot-windows to fastboot.exe.

I'm now (almost) on O2 Android 1.6 after flashing the ROM. Do i have to go to 2.1 first before i flash Dell Official 2.2?

Any link that can guide me to download & upgrade to dell official 2.2?

I think there is OTA update to 2.2 for O2 devices ........ there is a link provided for ROM download as .pkg format few pages back . I posted it up . Anyway , if u cant update OTA from 1.6 , try browsing thru these few links

no, it's an AT&T set but unlocked with unlock code.
using original celcom SIM now.

i think i'll try your link. OTA download is too slow and unstable.
just lose my connection

Mine working fine and loving it.

BTW, I'm using stock Froyo 2.2 but rooted with z4root not too long ago.

Re-root your phone either using universal androot or can use PC software Superoneclick..

1. Root your phone.
2. Search for MarketEnabler in the Market, download and install
3. Clear Cache. Menu->Settings->Application->Manage Applications->Market-> Clear Cache.
4. Run Marketenabler. Then you tap setting list. select any telco but pressing the selection for a while until a pop-up come out and click fake this service provider.
5. It will load something a while and say success, then you can access Paid apps now.

Have u tried selecting it via Input Method?

Just go to any text box and hold for few sec and select Input Method.

bro......why when i open my papago x5 (trial version) ....my streak reboot.........(restart)? other program than that....is perfeto...

er.. reinstall the papago software again.. i never tried the trial version but so far mine working ok la..

Stratos : I used QDLTool to flash over the new micro sd .... It works ..... !!!!!! But not , the left side of my screen is not very responsive

nt sure ler.. Hmm.. I think theres a file in the original sd card can set the sentivity or responsiveness of the screen.. nt sure le r.. lol..
