I just realised gps fixed is very2 very2 slooow or almost impossibe. Is it just my streak with froyo 1.4.6 or everybody got the same problem? Any solution found or need to sent for warranty. Please I need help

Do you have this problem before using 1.4.6 ?
Download gps status & toolbox, a freeware . Use it to set a-gps and check your gps detection. If it works means your hardware is not an issue. This tool can help a lot to improve your gps lockup. Plenty of settings ESP on a-gps.

There are some complains about gps on 1.4.6 you can try the gpsfix which is a separate release by stephhen for 1.4.6

My gps works well for brut google maps and Papago x5

I have now upgraded to v1.50. All my data remains intact after installed. So far only issue I find the miren browser is unreliable, with frequent force closures. I still prefer to use dolphin hd mini browser which is fast and also offers mutt tab feature

Actually I just got my streak 2wks ago and come with 1.4.6 already installed. So cannot compare with other version. I just landed in vienna for a meeting and I tried to look for qiblat direction but gps failed to get fixed even when its already detected about 8 satellite. So I tookout htc hd winmobile, and got satellite fixed in seconds. So I wonder what kind of gps chip used in this streak, that make it so not efficient at gps fixed. After reading your comment I doanloaded gps status & toolbox and now it get fixed at a reasonable faster.

Bro amin, would you want to upgrade to 1.5.0 and see whether it fixes the problem. If it's software problem, then upgrading should solve it.

Yes when I get back to msia on 19th december. I'm now in vienna. I still use my htc hd for my gps in here.

Been hearing bout this DJ Steve upgrade fr 1.4.6 to 1.5, any significant upgrade on performances?

Mine is v2.2 baseband GAUSB1A131800-EU, build number 12821.

huhuh.....i already flash dj sh 1.5.0.....but only problem with me....is canot setting some of the menu....like volume setting......

Try factory reset or reinstall again the ROM ........ Didnt face this problem so cant really help u much .....The only thing about 1.5 is u cant set brightness , get FC .

update.....britghtness and volume setting cannot set.......other than that...ok for me

Use power widget to set brightness
Volume control , just use the side buttons , there is no fc.

Better wait for v1.5.1, still lots of minor bugs. In the meantime 1.4.6 is still good, very stable, especially the auto screen rotation.

Regarding accessories, any leather sleeve to recommend?

PDAir case freaking expensive for a leather sleeve. But if no other choice, probably will get one anyway.

For screen protector, i think gorilla glass is good enough

yup and no calender as well ........ DELL backup & restore , think can dl from market , not 2 sure ...... As for calender , need 2 copy the apk files to systems/apps

I use biz calendar display n more features than default. Only need to set new event in default calendar
