I think i screwed up my Streak.... Initially on O2 v2.1, i tried flashing newer baseband via fastboot but then i unable to flash clockwork (multiple versions) and end up unable to upgrade to 2.2.

Currently stuck with baseband 2.2 and firmware 2.1.... Anyone have any idea why cant flash clockwork?

EDIT1: I think i know why... Clockwork flash only work if baseband is 2.1 or lower.

EDIT2: Flashed back to baseband 2.1, everything back to normal. Why clockwork flashing doesnt work?

Use Clockwork v2.5.0.1 ..... Make sure u boot into recovery right after u flash clockwork with the command " fastboot -i 0x413c reboot " ...... Hold the 2 volumes button while it reboot ..... Select option 2 and it will load Clockwork Recovery . If u load into your 2.1 , the original recovery will over-write clockwork .

Nope, back to v2.1 and luckily working like normal instead of a brick sweat.gif

Yeah, i'm using clockwork v2.5.0.1 but no matter how i flash and reboot (straight after flashing clockwork), holding the 2 volumes button will only show stock recovery option (where option 2 is update pkg file).

P.S: Flashing/modding on Symbian is much easier but Symbian is dead laugh.gif

For those using stock 2.2 version 318 , this is the file to change the stock battery icon to battery meter with percentage

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CWFZB6WG

* ONLY got stock built and Clockwork Recovery needed *

1. reboot into recovery.
2. choose "install zip from sdcard"
3. choose "choose zip from sdcard"
4. locate your file Battery ... .zip in SD
5. confirm "YES - install Battery ... .zip"
6. wait for script to finish
7. reboot phone

To access clockwork recovery, we just flash the recovery, reboot, hold vol up+down, choose option 2 (install update.pkg) then it will load up the custom recovery?

or after holding vol up+ down, the first recovery screen is the custom recovery?

cuz no matter how i flashed the custom recovery, it still showing stock version.

Since day one using the Dell Streak, I only use Kousch clockwork recovery 2.0.5.1 tool. There has been several types available now but I never bother to upgrade as " why fix it if it ain't broken" ? The Kousch tool has been very reliable and has serve me well upgrading the roms from original 1.6 to 2.1 till 2.2 froyo steve's 1.4.6

For rooting , just use Universal Androot : simple and straightforward

Where are you now exactly on the rom version ? Try The Universal Androot - it is very soimple and straightforward. Do it twice to get it rooted. Just take few seconds only
