should be SQUARESOFT wink.gif

I think FF10 is the last FF that still carry those "fantasy" feel...

Now all new FF will be aims at futuristic gadget/ world/goddamn don't-know-what automated battle system/boring linear story/self-proclaim good looking characters (but soulless)....etc. those consider "cool" features to new generation gamers sweat.gif

i will still buy FFXIII-2 for the sake of watching the advance graphic but i am very sure that i will only finish once and let it collect dust aside shakehead.gif

lol.. i think the square enix merge is pure bad timing... Square soft does not fair well since they fail to make an interesting movie.. Which is Final Fantasy...

Thing is time has changed... The millenium era is the start of a new viewpoint of the society... So many things were different than those days.. Even the ghibli does not constantly make good movies.. And sagakuchi of FFIX writer's story does not perform that well in last story and also lost odyssey as well...

Their lost of touch is somewhat inevitable because we no more live in a world surrounded by nature, and living a slow pace life... There are therefore things that should only remain as memories and no more than that.. FF is definitely one of it..

However, despite that there are another game that can give out these similar feelings as well, which is Nier where SE sees its potential... Yea.. Many might said that the lady is not a lady and also the graphic is not as good blah blah blah.. but the ambiance that it emanates is fantastic though.. a game where side characters give off a whole lot of emotions which we are all too spoiled to enjoy..

So yea...Its not only the producer to blame.. We gamers who are too superficial were to be blamed as well.. We aren't like those days.. Able to accept any games being thrown at us.. We speak allot, they listen.. And the result is.. Giving us whatever we want even though its the same.. You can say its money matter.. but i dun think we can deny the fact as well..

Also, Japanese companies work differently than of western companies.. Comments were dealt differently.. So just give them some time..

i just hope tat SE go back to the origin.... look Tales and Persona series still sells well and well accepted by the westerner. Why go pretend urself as someone u are not..... honestly we all know SE cannot make Dragon Age, Mass effects and all those epic Westerner RPG.

Give me the soul of JRPG of the SNES - PS1 era. Those were the time JRPG rocks!

The only epic WRPG is ME and UC... Batman is alright... Others are over rated and lack emotions if compare to JRPG.. Even the PS1 era has more emotions.. And tales game never dare to change so much.. Atlus where got PS3 RPG oh? PS2 time, FFX is still quite good what..

And Japan are now having serious idol and moe fever.. Even the anime and manga lacks allot of quality except for a niche market.. So I dun blame SE who start looking outside of their country..

But, I duno though... I think FFXIII got soul.. The ending there only.. Their fantasy feel might be different and too little but it still exist, more than FFXII if you ask me... As for their soundtrack, admittedly , wasn't nostalgic enough.. FFVIII by far have had the best soundtrack.. My fav however is FFVII's (main and side series) which is very soul touching...

Again i wan say.. Nier is really under-rated!

but yea.. ROF is under rated as well... But darn its a very tough game..i grind till i almost faint... but yea.. its full of character.. there are many laugh out loud moments.. and the way they portray the post apocalyptic world is really very different.. Very unique and full of souls.. but not many JRPG like this these days though cuz like i mentioned the grinding for ROF is tough shit and though many said they wanted old school, truth is, no one has the patience to do it anymore.... But what i like most is that the game is not all bout the save the world issue but involves something more real and personal...

I could quote you but you can do better by switching to english mode and attempting to order. All your questions would be answered.

couldnt agree more sad.gif

those games published by squaresoft are much2 better in terms of feelings, souls, storyline, gameplay and also tons of sidequest / other things to do..

last time i remember i keep repeating playing FF7,8,9 for like more than 10 times already... finish whole game.. then play again again again...

very nice lah.. compare to FF13,, finish once then can sell out already sad.gif

back in PS1 there are tons of great RPG game.. u guys remember

Legend of Mana?.. Chrono Chross? Vagrant Story ?... Chrono Trigger ?.. dammit and also got 1 fighting game u can use Cloud etc.. i think Erhgeiz or what.. forgot d

Seem like this time the CE version packaging is cool. But I still prefer the previous one, full white box.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Rumor: Has Poor Sazh Been Reduced to Download Content Status?

Dajh makes fun of dad's reduction to DLC status.
First bits from this week's Dengeki PlayStation have leaked out, as usual a couple of days ahead of the magazine's release. It appears that the magazine has some big news for Final Fantasy XIII-2.

First, a review. The magazine gave the game an S rating. This is from the magazine's letter grade scale, where S is the top (followed by A, B, etc.).

The magazine also usually gives major games the full four person review treatment with each reviewer giving a score out of 100. Numbered scores haven't leaked out for FFXIII-2 yet, but we'll be on the lookout.

But forget about the review scores, here's a hot bit about the game that we're going to treat as a pseudo rumor until we've seen more ("pseudo" because it's probably true, but we want some context). The magazine apparently has an interview or Q&A where they ask if Sazh (whom you'll recall is the guy with the afro and baby Chocobo) won't appear in XIII-2. The reply is that "Final Fantasy XIII-2 will continue after release, so look forward to later."

This seems to suggest that Sazh will be added to the game as post release download content, meaning Square Enix is planning more substantial content than the monsters and costumes that have been announced thus far.

We'll hopefully have closer look at Dengeki's coverage of XIII-2 later in the day, so be sure and check back

Yeah seems like only Serah, Noel and 1 monster will be your party members throughout the game with some Guest AI once in a while from the trailers I've watched.

But in any case, anyone noticed that in the snow areas, Serah's head and hands are covered in snow? Same goes for Noel and the chocobo but I tend to notice Serah's more lol.

dunno guess this will be the beginning for me to ignored the on coming release FF series.... i have no more faith in it. The only aniticipation left is the release of a remake FF6 or the upcoming PSN title FF6. The FFXIII - 2 really cannot make myself buy it.

The PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have a first shipment of one million units, retail blog Sinobi said in a post today. The site did not provide a source for this figure, but they tend to be in the know about this sort of things so we'll take their word on it.

If true, the million figure would be a little more than half of what Square Enix shipped for the original Final Fantasy XIII at its launch. On launch day in December 2009, Square Enix announced that the game had shipped 1.8 million units (see this story).

Sinobi did not provide a figure for the Xbox 360 version.
