hmm..dont use advance CGI from latest gen ff to compare with retro ff6 ya?

coz apart from graphical department, the rest (music, gameplay, story, character personality development..etc) win miles ahead of so called next gen ff



The souls of an epic rpg are its core gameplay, character development, story plot and music/ soundtrack, which is a total failed for next gen ff...at least to me

honestly this was the first FF i ever play..... In terms of graphic it is quite nice..... hey SNES graphic wat u want woh. But 2D is always more lasting than those cube like PS1 3D graphic.... tat why i cant find myself enjoying FF7 anymore on the consoles.

I luv FF6 and another favourite of mine was FF9 both of them have very good story compare to the others..... and i find myself cannot finish FF games starting frm FF12 - 13..... dunno why they loose out the original favor of the JRPG and gave me something like a fussion of West and East... end up dunno what shitty gameplay mechanism. Cant play as well as those Mass effect or fable series, nor does it play out as fun as the Persona and tales series. To me gameplay sucks better off go play with the older FF6-10.

FF7 to FF10 was still enjoyable to me. It was only when SQUARE became that stupid company called SQUARE ENIX, FF12 & FF13 became like shit.

All the good FF games were made by SQUARE and those days are long gone.

Look at FF13, yeah it got mind blowing cinematic graphic, but then what else it offer?

A laughable character development (all characters only want to act cool only, no emotion & soulless), one linear story progress (need no to further elaborate), funny gameplay (what? you can't get FULL MANUALLY control of your other characters? All automated slash enemy or cast spell by their own?), a so-so music/ soundtrack presentation (ok la next gen ff OST still can accept but not memorable & intense like its precedessor).

I think FF10 is the last FF that still carry those "fantasy" feel...

Now all new FF will be aims at futuristic gadget/ world/goddamn don't-know-what automated battle system/boring linear story/self-proclaim good looking characters (but soulless)....etc. those consider "cool" features to new generation gamers

i will still buy FFXIII-2 for the sake of watching the advance graphic but i am very sure that i will only finish once and let it collect dust aside

ah ff6. definitely one of the best ff. i played japanese version on snes that time. then don't make any more interesting characters like sabin and shadow.
