take me 124 hour to plat for same cause

I think mine is around 150 hours.. was spending too much time on farming money cause nvr really follow exact way to upgrade that's y spent unnecessary money.

Im more interested in versus 13 rather than ff13-2.. quite sick of the trailers, gameplay, pictures, details, scans, whatever sh*t news they have.. They are throttling by giving u out news little by little until ps4 releases only the game come out.. I know best game takes longer development but isnt it too long? Whether u've noticed or not, versus 13 was 1st announce on MAY 2006!! yes 5 years ago. And after JAP ver. out 1st then u wait again until end of the world is coming also still cant get to play the game... sad.gif

ff7 only took 3 years of game development..

FF13-2 update
QUOTE
Failure. And 'this is what many gamers have thought of completing Final Fantasy XIII. A blunder cost him a title to Square Enix, with expectations of very abnormal but above all a very heavy responsibility on his shoulders: prop up the lame JRPG market. Microsoft has even tried to Mistwalker together with its Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, even tried with Tales of Vesperia Namco and Sega also with Resonance of Fate. All results more or less limping in terms of sales, despite the good quality media. Square Enix then had the eyes of the world focused on him, he had to return the market to the glories of the past, where an episode of global upheaval caused in the hearts of millions of fans.
Too big a responsibility it seems: Final Fantasy XIII has unfortunately failed in many aspects and not just for a general loss of interest among gamers in the JRPG genre. A non-existent level design and suggested that instead of intricate corridors eternal dungeon, almost total absence of city, lack of explorable world map, battle system interesting, but flawed, good characters, but plot is not convincing. The only thing that has actually saved was to engineer where, as usual, Square Enix has shown his talent. Here it comes a few months ago that the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII-2, following the thirteenth chapter of the direct output in the first quarter 2012. Shock and outrage among fans who still remember with horror the carefree atmosphere and J-POP FFX-2, but above all the annoying experience of FF XIII.
Square Enix has in this regard, however, quickly put his hands on duty to reassure the fans: the Japanese company will be able to redeem himself?
I've never missed the feathers in Final Fantasy ...

A new chapter in the Fabula Nova Crystallis
The closing date for Final Fantasy XIII (which would tell them nothing for those who still had not had a hand in the game), although it was sufficiently conclusive, had actually left some doors open for a possible later. So it actually was and Square Enix has already released the first, albeit generic product information. Unlike Final Fantasy X-2, where the atmosphere was much more carefree and happy than the prequel, in XIII-2 will be exactly the opposite: the project director, Motomu Toriyama stated that the events will begin shortly after the end of the first episode and the tone with which events will be held far more obscure and mysterious than before. The focus will then be moved to new elements of the mythology of the Fabula Nova Crystallis, specifically to the deity Etro, and the protagonist is once again Lightning that, unlike in X-2 Yuna, will retain its distinctive features is the waiting that character. Return, as it is logical to some players who already know alongside new characters, like the mysterious man seen in the trailer with which our heroine must confront and collide.
Information given by dropper, but all in all reassuring and promising an adventure that, in some ways, it could be even more interesting as the original. Furthermore, the strategic choice of Square Enix not to disclose information directly on the plot, but rather the characteristics that distinguish it: a great way to raise the hype really!

The old and the new

The original structure of Final Fantasy XIII had made up their noses more than any person without a JRPG dungeon worthy of the name, and explored the city was really unacceptable, especially after the long development times and the huge budget invested in the project. Square Enix seems to have gotten the message of the fans and more than a few occasions has reiterated that in this sequel will attempt to rectify past mistakes and build a more complete and satisfactory as it is deemed, however, still shrouded in mystery.
Regarding the information about the battle system, developers have become more unbalanced, claiming that the CSB, Sinergy Battle Command, will also return in this sequel with some improvements and ideas that were originally rejected at the time of the output prequel.
More information coming on the face of difficulties, which will finally be settable, as well as the possibility of using the save of Final Fantasy XIII to get some kind of bonus.
Square Enix will try again in short, taking the good things he seems to think the thirteenth chapter, and inserting it into a new structure, with a renewed battle system and a plot more gripping and exciting, without falling back into the error of turning their new title in a candy pink splashes J-POP from every pore. The technical sector has not seen it yet then, but we are confident that Japan, the company will not disappoint in this respect the views of his great ability, on the other hand, the graphics engine is already beautiful than ready, we hope this time the conversion Xbox 360 is made with more care.
Since the last quarter of 2011 in Japan and, tentatively, for the first quarter of 2012 in the rest of the world, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is in fact the product that will decide once and for all the credibility of Square Enix video game company such as: this Title is therefore an immense responsibility, we hope that the expectations (which are actually now bassine) will not be betrayed once again!

well, i read somewhere that SE does not take the franchise as seriously... Thats why sagaguchi want out.. they thought the fans will swallow anything they give... then the staff oso got abit sloppy on the plot (compare to last time la)... although I like FFXIII but more can can be done.. so, I think its good that people kinda stomp hard on them.. Atleast in the hope that they will pay more attention..

FF not really fail product... just tat it is lossing more and more of its customer only.... FF franchise is not as grand as the PS1 and 2 era.... is moving down the hill since SE cannot keep up with technology. Though i like FF13 more than FF12 but i cant said that it was fun........ anymore.... compare to those oldies.

Which is the case with most JP game developers anyway. While other countries developer i developing visual stunning and fun games in 1-2 years times. Those Japs using triple the time to do so.... the more time they used the more it will cost. Not to mention the by the time they deliver the game the graphic also dated abit.

Guess Japs are not as glory as the pass loh.... this gen console is killing them.

well, i think its not entirely about the graphic though... I hate to admit it but, its too obvious.. JRPG developers viewpoint has been stagnant...Things are getting too cute for the current trend... Their work is not as funny or unique anymore...

WRPG is not any better but the choices, open world and also the humor especially Bioware, is what make them win over the audience.. Although I despise the open world nonsense cuz I hate wandering aimlessly... But, the freedom with the fake notion that there is a point to it is what people want these days..

Actually, I really do hope the Japanese developer is as curious as they were last time when they would go around snooping for inspiration.. Because, if they put their heart on it, their work are actually quite international... The mixture of west and east like FF use to be or MGS is very well done and give a very interesting world, as oppose to WRPG which are more close to the western gamers and lack variety.... Thats why I think most western game are over rated at times like GTA or RDR or Batman or UC...

its not about graphic....btw, about failure, its depend what you define 'fail' product...
ff13 failure for me is more about its linear storyline...unexploreable world untill the very last chapter..

I enjoy the open world thing a lot..... i still remember in FF7 where i first left Midgar city i already wander all around the map ignoring the continuous mission... and also those side character where u can acquire by wandering around... Yuri was the blardy thief that stole ur material in the woods and u need to go to her home town to catch her. Those was the fun of JRPG back then.... but then SE keep coming out with nonsense tat they cannot make those kind worldmap anymore becoz it would to hard to code and bla bla bla.... making the game a point and go world map was really boring.

Fixing the game to a linear part also kill the fun for FF13 too. Even the japs complain about it.... in the other hand Dragon Quest still maintains the pureness of JRPG.... while the FF series is going to some sort of weird dimension where Japs dislike it and Westerner hated it.
