I enjoyed playing FFXIII although it's not the best out there, but from what Toriyama said, it sounds pretty good. Hopefully it performs as good as it sounds.

can u share your secret for the treasure hunter trophy

For treasure hunter trophy, i keep a list of equipment and accessories checklist in front of me to keep track when i'm playing. (can get it from gamefaq etc...)

For the gil farming, i'll just keep on farming adamantoise at eden hall and the soldiers beside it...

^ i am so sick of doing the adamantoise hunting T_T

I just started playing FF13, and I can notice frame rate drop during cut scenes (not CGI) & game plays.

Is this normal? Also I found a website that also indicate there is frame rate drop (graphic lag) in the game.

Never knew PS3 graphic is weak

It is still one of the best looking RPG ( strictly on the Looks ) around.
There might have been frame drop but it was not very notice-able as my side , I thought Square Enix did a fantastic job in rendering all those action packed scenes in real time.


PS3 has seen its age, and this is the 5th year now it has been released to the public. Obviously you should not compare it with some of the prettiest PC games .


Frame rate dropping is a commonly seen issue in graphically intense games .
Saying PS3 is weak just because of a game had frame rate is just completely obnoxious.
There could be many other reasons behind the scene.


Might I suggest that you are in fact 1 year late in playing FF13 ; and 5 years late in purchasing a PS3 ;
( assuming that you have just bought it since you are QQ ing about the frame drop )

Not to mention ff13 made in 6 years ago where the graphic is almost 6 yrs back.. XD
Sometimes can't really believe that ps3 already very old.. end of next year will be ps4 time. I still can accept the current ps3's graphic as long as the gameplay is good.
Donno versus 13 can release before ps4 or not for English version.. XD

Wait I'm comparing it with 360 version I'll go with 360 version if I ever knew, nobody told me before I own all game platforms, PC, 360 & PS3, just that I got the PS3 recently.

I'm pretty much considerable that I don't ever compare consoles with PC. But I do compare console to console because I'm spending the $$$ for the games, and I don't like stuttering, lagging and of course frame rates drop.

but mass effect lag like duno what leh on xbox...i duno bout the frame rate la... too epic to really care bout it anyway..lol... but personally i think frame rate drop from gameplay to cutscenes or whatever dun really matter as long as it dun lag whn i am casting spells or attacking... cuz thats the most critical time and one lag can cost me my in game life.. also, graphic dun need to be so high end de ma as long as its HD then ok liao.. frame rate drop oso nevermind... movement bit weird only ma... its not like we are watching movie...

now then i notice lightning cast spell quite slow.. still like hope better...

i also own a PS3 and Xbox360....

for me its more convenient playing ff13 on the ps3 coz u dont need to change discs

actually i dun really want sony to announce ps4.... cuz tat means i have to get a new ps console which is not cheap.. duno they will announce a new hardware for ps or not after the jail break incident... they got the new firmware, code and stuff but its not as convenient as changing the whole thing and its the hardware key thing.. but sony says ps3 gona last 10 years or so... which ... oh well, lets see what is there in this coming E3 then..
