IIRC d90 support up to 1/250s when flash attached..
if ur fren can go further than that, means YES FP is supported in his speedlight

easiest thing to do is learn to diffuse the light.
easiest way is by bouncing off the ceiling

next step...drag the shutter or up the ISO

Im using this set up, it work great and it doesnt need battery, it have full ttl support and you can set up for as long as you want
its quite cheap, less than 90 for total setup

otherwise buy flash with optical trigger and trigger it using built in flash

otherwise, surf around garage sales, cohab is selling wireless trigger and all my experience dealing with her have been positive smile.gif

I have yn560 and hate it for being too big to fit my snoot and too powerful for my figurine.
but if you are shooting human then it work just fine and good smile.gif

Followed my cousins to the pool last weekend and managed to get a few shots.
I could barely keep up with them. sad.gif
Half of the energy was spent keeping the camera dry. biggrin.gif

Some of the more successful cross lighted pics. All pics were lit with one ungelled strobe.
