haven't been up to date with this.... few years back I know the only option for Msian to open SG bank acc is CIMB (without the need to travel to SG or requiring offiical SG documents)
i read through a few latest posts here..... it seems Maybank and OCBC is also an option nowadays?
If you applied using the Web Portal online. There is no options for you to obtain your Debit Card Physically/Virtually. Then you need to be in OCBC SG Branch Physically for the Application will be about 30 mins + Queue time. Provide your Passport + NRIC for verification. Thumbprint and Debit Card Pin setup.
Otherwise you applied everything through OCBC Digital app. You won’t need to purposely go to Singapore. OCBC SG will ship the Debit Card to your door step.
Also a temporary Virtual Debit Card will be provided to you in the app while waiting for the card. ==============================
The steps to open OCBC Digital's 360 Account is as follows:
Click the Triple Bar Options >> Apply >> Accounts >> 360 Accounts
Then fill in your particulars:
thanks ser, very useful info. just registered ocbc 360. will wait for my physical debit card
About time to close my OCBC SG Frank Account, I checked with Frank Store at NTU, they told me the account will auto close in 6 months time if there is no activity.
Otherwise I need to go to the nearest OCBC branch to close it. Gonna visit Jurong Point again...
currently very limited support so don't hope for MCA feature yet
still won't beat CIMB SG->MY rates
Managed to link ocbc sg account with duitnow. A couple weeks later try to transfer SGD10 from MBB, but failed. Seems like bank has roadblock in place, need to physically go into bank to be interrogated and KYC. Maybe with new BNM regulations coming into play to clamp down on RM outflows.
Anyone experience this?

poooky if it's just face-to-face KYC, just do it at MBB malaysia branches & update us why your acct kena flagged. else you use moneymatch which will be illogical if you just send S$10 only (just use Wise).

Breaking News confirmed that CIMB sg doesn't accept S$1 e-KYC via CIMB MY + S$1000 from Wise anymore (for account opening). Bank will call you to topup
couldn't test out if CIMB sg allows funding from MBB sg as my contact actually transferred the remaining S$999 via CIMB my as he doesn't want to delay any further

Maybank has always been an option. I did it back 2016 without physically appearing in SG. Just sign up the eSaver acc in big MBB branch and they auto deduct sgd500 from your local mbb account for acc opening. Took around 1 mth to receive the card and letters.

I have both CIMB Malaysia account and OCBC SG account. CIMB Malaysia DuitNow registered with my Malaysia number and OCBC SG PayNow registered with my SG number.
Just to check, with the introduction of DuitNow Cross-border payment, I can remit up to 3000 MYR from my CIMB Malaysia account to my OCBC SG account right?
Anyone tried that before? I am not sure how to initiate a transfer from CIMB Clicks Online banking portal? Is it through the usual DuitNow pathway and just type in my SG phone number in the recipient column?
