QUOTE(ccschua @ Aug 7 2023, 11:27 PM) so if i open fast saver acc before 1st Aug, but i inject fresh during promo period, does it fulfil the T&C ? Can refer to this table extracted from their T&C documents:» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Baseline is the July month-end balance (i.e. existing money as at 31st July). Anything above baseline will earn 3.5% p.a. but you must maintain your "fresh fund" added on/after 1st of August for the next 6 months. Otherwise, if it dips below baseline then you earn the old "tiered" rate. N.B. CIMB SG uses ACT/365 day-count convention. ----------------- HWZ's FastSaver thread has an active discussion on this promotion: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/...176026/page-124 Planning to move my money from DBS to CIMB SG as well. Just need to make sure the balance is at least 1k SGD at all times for the next 6 months. (incremental balance for existing customer) This post has been edited by TOS: Aug 8 2023, 08:55 AM |

Oh, one reminder. Make sure you guys click the EVA chatbot link to "register" into the promotion. It's part of the T&C.
https://www.cimb.com.sg/en/personal/promoti...%20Customers%20 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I transferred 6k SGD then only realize the chatbot link. Not sure if it counts... will check back on the 20th next month. |

QUOTE(Mr Gray @ Jul 25 2023, 11:47 AM) Happy to share that I have successfully opened my OCBC Singapore account with just my IC and Passport. Thanks for sharing your experience. Question:The process of applying through the app is a bit a pain in the ass, as needs to do several times for the app to accept my IC. Tips, the ic can be slightly outside the rectangle. Took about 3 working days for the account to be approved. Was given Global Savings Account and Statement Savings Account. Initial deposit required is just SGD1000, it can be from your Singaporean bank account or Malaysian bank account. I already have Maybank SG account. So this is very seamless. Despite the T&C showing initial deposit for non-resident Statement Savings Account is SGD20k. I just needed to deposit SGD1k. Not sure if this only applies for Malaysians or what. Regardless, even if the fall below fee for non-resident Statement Savings Account which is 20k is imposed as per T&C (no fee for first year), don't worry, we can go around this. Once you have access to the OCBC SG online banking, you can immediately apply for other accounts like OCBC 360 (minimum balance 3k) or OCBC Frank (minimum balance 1k), Monthly Savings account (minimum balance 500) or other OCBC SG accounts. I prefer OCBC 360. I will close Statement Savings Account after this. So for all Malaysians residing in Malaysia, with no SG pass whatsoever. Right now we have 3 easy options for SG bank accounts (Maybank, CIMB and OCBC), everything done online, super easy. For those who are interested to apply OCBC SG account, can use my referral code NLC9FDOS . You will get SGD15, and I will get SGD15. ![]() OCBC 360 has a service fee of SGD2 if average daily balance for the month falls below SGD3,000, though it is waived for the first year. How do you intend to work around this? As someone earning MYR, it doesn't make sense to have ~RM10K+ just sitting in this account. Otherwise, I feel that the main goal for opening this account as someone who is not working in SG to be able to have access to SG T-Bills. Is this correct? datolee32 liked this post

QUOTE(poooky @ Aug 15 2023, 07:21 AM) Thanks for sharing your experience. Question: You can switch to monthly saving account, only 500 SGD minimum required to avoid fall-below fees. Otherwise, I feel that the main goal for opening this account as someone who is not working in SG to be able to have access to SG T-Bills. Is this correct? As for T-bills, not really. You will need a CDP account to purchase a T-bill, hence you will need an SG address. Unless you manage to open one of your Spore banks with SG address (hence shown on the bank's statement), it's unlikely that you will be able to open a CDP account (alternatives include utility bills/phone bills with SG address but this is definitely more difficult as you will have to come to SG in person). |

QUOTE(moonsatelite @ Aug 15 2023, 12:57 PM) Hate to break it to you, dude. Moomoo isn't allowing Malaysians to open an account with them, explicitly mentioned in the app Can open. All they need is just your IC. I have acocunt with them. Even if cannot open, there is always tiger or moneyowl. Both moomoo, tiger and moneyowl have access to the Fullerton cash fund. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Aug 16 2023, 11:58 AM |

EDIT: someone said moomoo MY not yet start. but i googled "moomoo Malaysia", got link already. i guess my info is a bit inaccurate too, no one knows, as i am not using moomoo MY, but i have moomoo SG account This post has been edited by john123x: Aug 16 2023, 03:24 PM Medufsaid liked this post
