but why is his minimum sgd1000?

If you don't lock the money there you will be charged.
Hence by locking it there the money is always there and won't cannot be removed.
Cause it's free money for the banks. They don't need to pay interest or almost negligible of 0.05%p.a

Just put in SGD1k, email them why you are being charged. The card is free of charge. If really SGD1k try and ask them can refund or not as you didn't know about the rules.

Mine time was sgd500 only.

I have like slighly more than SGD500 in my account. Just checked no monthly charge.

No, link ur acc with cimbclicks malaysia. Go read the email pls. Very straight forward the guide from cimb. Like at account maintenance or service there. Once link u can see it then u can transfer like normal transfer

Followed the steps, hope it will work.

I went called both Malaysian and CIMB hotline to try to open SG bank acc and they told me only able to open a bank acc if I go to SG physically.

Is there other way where I can do it online?

Spend some time and read earlier posts. The answer is there. And no. Almost all of us opened our account online. The CS you dealt with had no idea what they were talking about.
