You should get a few SMS once your account is open and ready to initial deposit. One of those will be code for First Time Login registration https://www.cimbclicks.com.sg/wps/portal/sgRegistration

I deposited 1k to CIMB SG yesterday.

You can give CIMB SG a call or drop them an email at AtYourService@cimb.com and they'll call you back (same day or next business day). They're great in a way that they'll try to contact you at least during working hours and right after working hour plus notify you via email in event they failed to reach you.

What happened to me was I got the welcome SMS but not the First Time Login code and the guy on the phone just had to re-trigger an SMS with a fresh code over

still unsure if can be deposited from third party transfer not under the same name or not.

from CIMB MY. In my case, the same name.

if you're using a third party transfer, then you'll need to inform them.

just normal CIMB transfer, not telegraphic.

the rate sucks!! I'm just using this once to activate it. After that I'll use transferwise.

Why Transferwise? The fee is high for Transferwise though. A simple comparison between Instarem and Transferwise:

T: MYR 6,176.94 : SGD 2,000.00
I: MYR 6,172.17 : SGD 2,000.00

No third party transfer is allowed for account activation. They wont activate for you unless you transfer from your own account.

meaning we have to transfer from msia CIMB account to SG CIMB account?

i can see SG CIMB account in msia CIMB click portal, but can't do any transfer money out from SG CIMB account. the initial 1k deposit is from my brother SG bank account.

Can they activate for you if it is third party?

i am not sure if my SG account activated or not. i can see SG account in Malaysia CIMB click portal, status is active, with 1k initial deposit. but i can't transfer out that money to others account, system don't allow me to select SG account. i am not sure is it due to my SG account still consider not yet activate or i have to register another login with Singapore CIMB click portal, then perform the transaction via Singapore CIMB click portal. i already dropped an email to CIMB customer support, waiting their feedback.

Do you have the CIMB SG User Id and Password for you to sign-in into your CIMB SG session ? You are only able to operate on your funds inside the CIMB SG Acct after you sign-in into your CIMB SG Acct... and not from inside your CIMB Msia session.

Similarly, for myself.... inside my CIMB SG session, I am able to see my funds positions, but I am not able to move the funds out from my CIMB Msia Acct to any other banks inside Msia if I do not sign-in to my CIMB Msia Acct.....

once your SG account is activated, they will sms you the activation code or something to create user ID and password to login to CIMB clicks SG portal
