I read from few pages back stated that do not go for FS if engine oil is leaking. What's the reason actually? Despite of having to refill it more often (as FS oil is pricey) <-- yea I take that as a con. Other than this reason?
Other than that, any reviews on Lexus FS 5W-40 oil? Planned to try on it as it's one of the cheapest FS oil that I can see. No prob switching from SS oil to FS oil rite?

I recently bought a second hand 95' Sentra B14 1.6 all on stock and changed the engine oil to CASTROL MAGNATEC 10W-40..

In my opinion.. the engine runs quite smooth at highways and low noise but power during pickup or overtake is not very satisfying..

Anyone can recommend me better oil for an old car like mine?

perhaps you can give a try to torco SS xw30 smile.gif

if you would prefer more protection and a more quieter engine, consider liqui moly SS xw30 instead

if performance is what you're looking for, then that is not the engine oil to go for.

LM is not for performance? hmm.gif may i ask why? Coz in planning to use LM 10w-30 after this. FYI, Im using eneos 5w-30 from mileage 10k km until 65k km & recently use Torco TR5 10w-30. All i can say is so far so good this 2 brand.

LM offers more protection, and makes your engine damn quiet/less vibration. however compared to torco, revving just isnt as fast as what torco can provide.

synthetic.
sync =! synthetic

been seeing few people using that and its just getting a wee bit annoying

as for the oil itself, xw30 ss would be ideal for a 2011 civic. performance wise no comment since i have never tried them

hey guys... i wanna ask...

now im looking at Q8 plus 15W40 since the price is a bit affordable...
but now the problem is i dont know where to find it in kajang/bangi area...
and i only encountered Sumo R4 5W30 for K-Cars and the price around RM110.

now my problem is my car is Kancil EX880 2001 and i prefer mineral oil than semi/fully synthetic....

so my question is...

1. is Q8 plus 15W40 really good for my engine and worth my trouble to go to sunway (which i could think the nearest place to buy the oil)

2. what about Sumo R4 5W40?

3. what other mineral oil that you guys could recommend for me? around RM100 and below but if really good wont mind going up a bit...

thanks in advance and sorry if this is the wrong thread....

Try petro canada 5w/30..less than rm 100.. I find it real good IMO for my Grandis 2.4
