bro, your car sticker says 40 or 50? or 40 then 30 should be no problem especially for new/well maintained engine.

btw, you aint experiencing everything yet until you pour in liqui moly ceratec

Hi, i want to ask why liqui moly 10-30 is rm10 cheaper than 10-40? Does 10-40 got anything xtra?

Normally, you guys use what engine oil for Honda City Vtec 2006?

Been using AMSOIL XL 5w-30 Synthetic Oil for my vehicle since 10,000km until today clock 29,500km, but of course I change intervally at every 10,000km.

The engine never feel sluggish whenever it nearly hits 9,000km and still working strong until 10,000. This engine oil is made for long lasting purpose and they claimed it can last up to 10,000 miles or 12,000 miles if I'm not mistaken. But changing oil at every 5,000km or 10,000km intervally is recommended.

Just for info, Tesco have engine oil sales on, but different stores sells differently, means one store sells Shell cheaper, some Castrol and so on.
Castrol Edge 0w-40 - RM159
Mobil 5w-50 - RM149
Tesco FS 5w-40 - RM89
Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 - 149, some selling at RM99.90

I use TorqNM 0W - 40W 4L RM289 for engine oil for my EG8
I use Sumo ATF Type VI Decron 4L for my gear oil

No problem. Last time I too make change from SS to FF after 2 years.

xw40 is thicker than 30, so prolly cost a lil more. considering if they're basically using the same compounds/additives etc.

other than that, no difference. 30 or 40 is up to your preference/car recommended usage

Not because of rich not rich. I want to look after my car. Since its my 1st car. I put care and effort to it. When i bought it. It was just rubbish. So i topset overhaul, change the gearbox (still auto lah ) change the tyres, rims, spray, tint, and so on just to make it perfect. So since then ive been using that oil. Quite smooth, the car feels very light. And for the gearbox oil. Before i use that oil, i use to use those cheap2 oil. I feel like the shifting is quite heavy and slow. Then my friend promoted me with the SUMO oil type VI syntethic. I tried shifting from D2 runs 110kmh already my tachometer red, den shift to D3 130kmh can reach. D4 i dunno if the road is not long enough or my gear finish. 150kmh max. better than before. 120kmh
