have been crawling this thread from almost first page. because this is an topic that i'm interested. I'm hunting for best engine oil for my car as well. Best as in its good for my taste and also wallet. Engine oil that i wanted to have is, good FC, low noise, vibration, enough protection.

Currently i'm using Shell Helix HX-7E 5w-30 SS, with some 100ml of bluechem oil system care in it (just bought to try it since the TUV seal catches my eye tongue.gif )

after spending so much time crawling thread... here's what i have in mind:
1st choice: Liqui Moly MOS2 10w30 SS
hmm... main reason is poisoned by @Quazacolt too much hmm.gif notworthy.gif Really attracted to its good FC with good protection and low vibration. But where can i get this oil?? never seen before. do they have dedicated MOS small store or kiosk like those eneos one?? And the ceratec..? for now the price is too exotic to me.

2nd choice: Eneos EcoTouring 5w30 SS
read quite good review on it, seems quite a number of ppl support it (i mean support Eneos oils, not necessary 5w-30 only). and plus, i think its easier to source one.

btw anyone tried bluechem products before?

this is my first time servicing my car outside honda sc.. before was using honda 5w30 semi-sync.. changed to liqui moly MOS2 10w30 @ kaki motor sunway.. yeah, the engine noise reduce a lot! (but i just put in VS+GC a month before i change the oil).. with average of 320-350km per rm50 now i get 350km minimum.. performance macam no improvement.. smile.gif

contact thundergod_cid for LMxw30 SS and ceratec (yes highly recommended lol)

personally, consider torco xw20 fullsyn and doing extended OCI tongue.gif
(or mix some xw30/40 if your car original specification is xw40/50)

for eneos, i don't particularly find their EO attractive besides their sustina series, which cost a bomb. (may consider trying it out someday hehe)

problem is, when i read his WTS page, mentioned that he's in subang... and i'm not from around KL.

So far i've discovered an local online store. but that one have RM 11 shipping fee lols, making an already expensive than mainstream EO more expensive a bit. well maybe i shouldn't be too picky..

another thing i wanna ask. For the ATF, i read my service record book stating that at 20k km service, need to replace ATF. . Other things also stated need replace is spark plug, air filter, air cond filter, brake fluid.

But then i look back at the receipt, my 20k km service is only as expensive as all my other services. so i think they only perform the regular oil and oil filter change??? did they changed the ATF?? I read my owner manual, the ATF volume required is 6.1L shocking.gif this is so big! need like 6-7 quart of ATF per change? is this normally most car also so big volume? then each ATF change is very expensive lo??

so do i need to go back and ask them to change the ATF, spark plug, etc? or i just wait till 40k km then only ask them change? or just keep quite only since they are the authorised service centre?? Meaning their chop/stamp on my service record book keeps my car's warranty good, irregardless if they really follow strictly the preventive maintenance schedule on my service record book???

My service record book reads
ATF, spark plug, air filter, air cond filter, brake fluid - replace each 20k km
Fuel Filter - replace each 40k km
Timing belt - replace each 60k km

For me, I still think Torco SR-1 is the best at its' price range. Very smooth acceleration. Currently using M7 super street oil fully synthetic from Japan, quite good also jz not as responsive as Torco, but engine feels quieter and les vibration compare to Torco.
