Hey there,
I'm looking for a laptop with followings criteria:
1. Thinkpad/Asus. No Dell/Acer please.
2. Budget around RM 7k
3. Going for i7, 8gb RAM, SSD
4. Moderate size, 14" will do.
5. Need it mainly as demo presentation, will probably run heavy resource applications like VPC/VM. Fast performance!
Please do let me know what would you recommend. Thanks!!
Since your budget is quite high, some recommendations :
Fujitsu Lifebook SH760, i7 760M + Nvidia G310M@RM6988 (1.6kg)
HP Elitebook 8440w, i7 620M + Quadro FX380M@RM5999
Asus N82Jq, i7 720QM + Nvidia GT335M@RM3799
For the 8GB RAM and SSD, you can upgrade that later because rarely we see any laptops come with a 8GB RAM

...from the list, i would recommend Asus N82JQ

Most of the laptops now are using ACPI mode (SATA), before installing Window XP, you might want to change this one into Compatibility Mode (IDE) because Window XP by default cannot detect SATA HDD, unless you got the SATA-enabled Window XP installation CD
