hi....
my house currently can only get on 20%++ signal using old huawei e220. Less than 1mbps. i.e. no youtube.
Can anybody recommend reasonably price usb modem w/external antenna? is E367 is the best? Price range +/-150.

+ shud i use external antenna? which 1 is the best?
Not a heavy downloader, but at least need to be able to get SD quality youtube.

around that price , Huawei E367 is not the best.. but it is really a good choice...

you should have external antenna / 3G router to helps to boost the signal.. E367 alone can't help much

unet is for postpaid user
maxisbb is for maxis broadband (cant phone or call)

maxisbb works on unlimited biz 68

Which modelis better than at that range. A bit more still ok as long it is worth it. And I do plan to get an external antenna. As for the router, already own a TP Link 3420. So just need the modem and antenna.

E367 is already a fine USB Modem.. just go with that..

E220 is super old modem. Maybe it couldn't draw higher power signal. Try E367 without antenna 1st and see if you can get 50% signal strength?

I live at rural area . My place can detect 6 maxis tower @ different cell id . Only one tower can hit 2 ~ 3mbps download speed. The rest below 1mbps. For me the problem is with the tower not the modem. Signal RSSI all the same around 95 dBm. Modem is MF600 + yagi. The original maxis modem.

huawei e220 have 2 model old one 3.6 and new model 7.2 mbps. At least u should get 1.5mbps download speed. If u want usb modem with external antenna, get one from zte or sierra. huawei external antenna socket suck.

4GB is for RM68 now!!

Since I think i will need to use the antenna. Package offered speed up to 7.2...and i'm getting less than 1...that sucks...

Huawei e220 is just the same.A software update can upgrade it from 3.6 to 7.2.I did it long time ago.

Anyone near Sri Gading or UTHM ? What is your maxis speed ? The tower has been upgrade to DC HSPA+

can I straight use the Maxis sim card to my MF180?

I want to use Maxis prepaid broadband only, while waiting for my unifi

But you can simply unlock through DC Unlocked or purchase a Huawei E367 which performs better

its just for temporary use, not going to buy modem anymore :/

i having problem where my internet will disconnect sometime and need log in to hotlink then only can connect back..

I tried insert my girl friend Celcom card, it works for like 1 minute, then when I tried speed test
it can goes until the begin test page
once I click Begin Test
it straight fail
my modem signal turns red tooo, and the 3G air software show UNKNOWN instead of Celcom :/
