Talking about hot beverages, you need one here, it's getting chilly. Sydney folks are starting to wear their winter clothes bit some are ridiculous! Arm and leg warmers that makes them look like arms of a hairy baboons or legs of a wooly mammoth?

I've never been to an Apple-related launch before. Can't wait to get to Chermside tomorrow!

After looking at the Mactalk forums, JB HiFi will be carrying the iPad at launch. The hotel I'm staying in downtown Brisbane is mere 5 minutes walk from the closest JB HiFi. If all goes to plan, I may not even have to go to Chermside to get one.

Fingers crossed. I've a feeling that tomorrow's going to be a glorious day.

For my bro. He deserves it after giving me his Maxis 3G account for free.

The plan: buy the iPad at JB HiFi with whatever necessary accessories I can get there then just visit the Apple Store leisurely watching the madness there. LOL!

I'm just curious if they're imposing the "2 iPad Orr person" limit or not, along with the Apple iPad case and Cam Kit.

Bad outing from JB HiFi in town, only WiFi models and poor selections of accessories. Heading to Apple Store Chermside, from the Mactalk forum, the line is 150+ deep!

Interestingly no restrictions on accessories. You can buy as many as you want.

The usher at the front, his name is Kai, and surprisingly from the States. Later, a friendly Apple Genius by the name of Kieran handle my purchases inside.

And random customers gets cheered and clapped after they've completed their purchases. Embarassingly, I was one of them , but all the cheers and applause was done in earnest and enthusiastically, so I cheered them as well for a launch well done.

Something you'll never see at Premium Resellers in Malaysia I guess.

Gotta finish this Optus Prepaid data allocation, still have tons left and I don't have Australian stops next month. I wonder if I should take Vodafone Prepaid Data for next month's European run.

Anybody's up for the first gathering for the iPad? I have to distribute the items purchased, so since the whole distribution is like a meetup, then might as well make it like a gathering.

Pics of the ElementCase Joule stand is uploading now. Good news to Nude users, your iPad with the Nude fits, albeit slightly raised. Naked, it is a perfect fit. The stand is cold hard steel industrialist machined perfection! I love the stand, but I hate their customer service!

After arriving from BNE today, found a USPS package waiting for me. And looking at the list of USPS-related packages that is coming, my heart lept with joy that the Joule had finally arrived!



Got me a bit worried since the Youtube video of the review shows a cylindrical packaging, not a squarish-look.



After ripping through the packaging, looks like what they did was forgo the cylinder blister pack, and got the whole thing shipped as it is. This was probably after my complaints that their allocated shipping date went past their promised date. The Joule cylinder packaging + the carrying pouch.



The iPad on the Joule. The iPad is in the Nude case, so it is raised a bit, but still firmly in place. Worries on the stand chafing the case is alleviated by the velvet lining on the inside of the slot.



The slight space jutting out because of the Nude case...



...but still look as nice from the back.

Now let's try the iPAd WITHOUT the Case, or how it should look on the Joule if you're using the high-grade wrap service I've mentioned before.



Perfect!



Now from the back. The iPad "seems" to have lost its glossy sheen, because the Nude case is gone. By the way, the cylindrical part at the back is adjustable to 3 different slots, which allows 3 different angles, and the cylinder fits into the slot magnetically. Very cool!



Everything in the box. I'll be carrying this with me in the Muzetto, and will be relegating the Apple iPad Dock to home use only.

Point to take note: Remember to apply the rubber stoppers at the bottom of the cylindrical slot section so that the stand stays in place.

Bro, I think should just order the Skadoosh now, if no responses for the bulk. I like the back support metal railing and from the looks of the slot, it fits cases!

Looking at the "working professionals" in here, weekends seems like the only ideal date to arrange a gathering. Looking at my own roster, this weekend (tomorrow, in fact) is the only weekend I'll have, the rest of next month's weekends are taken up with work.

If anyone else wanna arrange one, by all means. I'm just not sure how the response would be if I do arrange a gathering seeing how much "controversial" my position is in the forum.

Just trying to flatten the animosity. Plain sight or hidden.

Just had a good stroke of luck, purchased the Griffin Technology Elan Passport....FOR FREE! Well, I shouldnt' have said "purchase" since that iPad Leather case is free. Only paid for shipping of USD7.50, the cheapest they have for international orders.

Not gonna use it though, just as a backup. And since it is FREE, why not? That RM20+ shipping cost doesn't really bother me much.

Sharing is caring, and in this it's literal, and legal.

I'm still looking for a stylus to use with Penultimate. Pogo Stylus/Sketch uses fat blunt tips, I needa sharper one if it's possible. With the new update on Penultimate and Paperdesk that allows palm resting and still registering handwriting, it is now finally feasible to jot down notes properly.

Anybody with any ideas on such a stylus?
