Will sand filter become dirty after some time where back wash not able to clean? Will it cause re-contamination like Diamond said?

QUOTE(weikee @ Feb 25 2012, 07:16 PM) actually not just the sand inside... you have carbon, resin and sands with different grade also... and need no change for 5-10 years if you properly maintain it... just do backwash everyday.. how i know? I'm water treatment specialist in my factory... and we have even much bigger sand filter to treat the underground water... already use for more than 5 years! treated water still in good quality! and i can get FRP tank at cheap price (RM700 without installation)! |

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Feb 27 2012, 12:28 AM) no such thing, micro z sand also need to be replaced. I m selling Perfect Steel and one of the model comes with micro z as well. If You don't change the sand, your house water after the filter will be worse before filtration. Because the build up will flow back. when you backwash, the sand is not 100% clean. |

Don worry bro, the valve is very durable. My gf using it for about 4-5 years d, no issue. Have been selling it for many years, never replace the head before. |
