I prefer to have some real fact advise rather than trying out.... I saw frm some article ppl use the Nissin to light subject from the back instead to let the Subject has a more 3D effect.
*
lighting the subject from the back is to make the 'outline' of the hair to glow...there's a specific name for this i forgot tongue.gif but it's not the most important one lar, illuminating the front is still more important. u need at least 3 flashes to pull this off nicely. 1 for one side of the face, 1 more lower power for another side of the face (lower power so got shadows, but not too dark), and the last one to light up the hair outline

for only 1 flashgun setup juz use diffuser n bounce shud be ok smile.gif juz dun simply snap3 that's all

No one knows the value of this lens? Or at least some comments on this?
*
dunno the value but shudn't be more than 700 i think. better get the 18-105, got VR

Initially I also tried turning off flash, bump ISO but 1st i don't have a f2.8 lens or a prime, and 2nd the color lights and other buaya's flashes ruined my photo. Then i turned on my flash with the fake demb diffuser, it turns out well =D

But i'm standing quite near lah, 3rd row from front, and flash power quite strong, so it's still okay to get well exposed photos.

Guys,

My friend is opting to purchase D5000 kit with EPP 12 or 24, anyone know if the shop you occasionally visit provide easy payment scheme?

Agreed!
Haha, I saw one guy with D3 (not sure which variant) not using flash on his cam so I decided to turn off my flash since I'm getting 1/200s already. Wah the amount of useable pics in that period is horrible due to flashes from all over :S.
This time has a lot of light sources (flashes  laugh.gif ) and the LED spotlight sucks big time, all bulbs turned on also not white one. Chey!
*
issit quite an old guy? saw him using D3s with 70-200 VR drool.gif

here's some of my pic, not reli perfect, but i feel its ok considering its a 55-200 lens thumbup.gif
most of my stage shots r jz spamming blindly over my head without live view
using viewfinder cant reli get clean pics without sumthg blocking sweat.gif

the easiest way to check if the camera is brand new is to see the set time function when u first turn it on.

I mean once u turn on the camera, the first thing it should show is ask u to set the time. If it doesn't show that means its a used camera.

you already accepted the camera, so i don't think there's anything you can do about it. if you were to check it on the spot at the shop before purchasing then of course you can argue.
