@Kent You don't expect got flash sure have good portrait photos. Flash is not an easy task in photography, because it's related to lighting here. Later you will discover harsh direct flash prob, harsh shadow, over/under exposed, etc... you will learn as you shoot more, don't worry =D
BTW u said nissin got that function "3D effect", i think it's rear slow sync, every flash also can do one.. there's no such special function, it's just how u control it. Reviews are not as good as your experience...

Initially I also tried turning off flash, bump ISO but 1st i don't have a f2.8 lens or a prime, and 2nd the color lights and other buaya's flashes ruined my photo. Then i turned on my flash with the fake demb diffuser, it turns out well =D
But i'm standing quite near lah, 3rd row from front, and flash power quite strong, so it's still okay to get well exposed photos.

Please don't talk crap ok, D90 is DOUBLE the price of D3000, who doesn't know it's better than D3000 and there's no point to keep comparing between them or telling the differences. Just grab your camera and go shoot lah, unless you want NEED to upgrade then only ask. >.<

Travel lens normally means lens which covers the wide and tele range like Nikon 18-200mm VR, Sigma 18-200, tamron 18-270mm etc. Or d90 kit lens 18-105mm is a good travel lens also.
Travel lens with range 18-200+- mm is convenient and it's a multipurpose lens so that you don't need to change lens when you go travel around. But the downside is the image quality is not that good at certain range like at 200mm. And it's softer (not as sharp) than those lenses with shorter range.

Last time D40 without grip hurts my hand badly, now D90 without grip is slightly better (can fit all my fingers) but still not perfect. With grip I can shoot whole day~ Maybe should get a phottix =D

As far as I know mb-d80 and phottix have no much difference except the build quality is a bit sturdier and the buttons looks better. I don't want to pay extra 200 for that =X

You captured a dramatic sky, but in KL always so hazy, can't see cloud =X

Since u actually thought of upgrading to d90, it will be around RM2450+ for the body. saving more can get u a 50mm F1.4G or tele lenses, d90 is not too far superior than d5000 especially in noise control, d5000 is very good already.
Next upgrade on body will at least be D300S lor bro =D

DONT buy. 14k sc for RM1350 is just too high. Try getting at 1200 if u really want, if cannot then find shutter count less than 10k, preferrably 3~7k, for rm 1350+-.

QUOTE(astralliquid @ Jun 6 2010, 11:58 AM) Hi, Just recently thinking of selling my D40 to replace with D90. Havent sold anything via forum before.. any tips and will there still be any buyers since new cameras are so cheap now? Thinking of selling at RM1300.. Thanks for any advise before I actually post at the market section Thanks 1300 ppl rather get a second hand D3000. depending on the camera condition (age, shutter count), D40 range from rm1000~rm1150+. But definitely not rm1300 unless it's almost brand new...

I suggest ISO 400~800, flash mode you like (auto or manual, depends on your skill), and of course widest aperture. I would use manual mode on 1/50 or 1/60s shutter.

My unfilled warranty card need to fill?
