not really, they just told me that i cannot re-enter singapore for the time being. Even i show them the "in approval letter" which stated that i landed on a job and waiting for the MOM appointment, they also won't allowed me to enter.

I would like to enquire about singing up with singtel mobile services - post paid.

According to its website:

"Documents Required

If you are a Foreigner:
Employment Pass/Work Permit/Social or Dependent Pass with at least 6 months validity to date of expiry; and
Purchase Agreement/Tenancy Letter (with proof of more than 6mths occupancy); and
Passport"

So if i'm a foreigner, and i wana sign up for a post paid plan, i need to produce all EP, Paasport and tenancy agreement (with proof of more than 6mths occupancy).

1. Does that mean i nid to already stayed in the house for more than 6mths? or > 6mths to expiry? So if i just came over for a week, can i apply?
are you sure they will ask for the tenancy letter? i apply mine through starhub, they didn't ask. i applied M1 mobile broadband last time, they also din ask.

2.  If i haven't collected my EP, can I apply?
no u can't. i have tried to ask last time. they need to photocopy the physical EP to process ur application. i asked Singtel before last time.

3. If i'm using prepaid, do they have a data plan? can't seems to find it.

Riding bike from JB to SG is very very tired.. imagine every morning there are 50,000 bikes crossing the causeway.
It is bad for health too.. as the smoke from the bike generated by 50K bikes..

Yes you can ride you bike in after paying $4 using your Malaysian License but only for 1 year from your EP starting date. After 1 year you have to convert your license by taking the basic theory test in the driving centre in singapore.

License conversion you need to get a letter from JPJ for your driving records. You just tell them you wanna apply for foreign driving license (Singapore). I just get the letter recently (1 month ago), they didn't take my Malaysian license like what they did previously.

Only thing you have to check with them is how long can your bike stay in Singapore. If for car, maximum the car can stay in Singapore is not more than 14 days. Before the 14th day, you will have to return to JB and pusing balik to get a new 14 days count. But if you go in and out everyday this is not an issue.

If you don't mind sharing, which JPJ branch did you get it from? I hope it's the same at Ipoh branch. I'll try again my next trip back. Previous tries, they always insisted on blacklisting my Malaysian license unless I umm... distract their attention with kopi.

I think you can get loans for big bikes. For kapcais and Passolas, you might be right.

Does that mean that when you need to renew your Msian driving license later on there won't be any issue, seeing that they actually took copies of IC and driving license? I always thought the standard practice by JPJ is to always cut the tip of the license off, no?

Upon passing the basic theory test, would it be necessary for us to further take a practical test or we would be able to get a full driving license straight?

you can ride your Malaysian bike using your Malaysia license all you like, as long you are not PR or Singaporean. There is no such thing as 1 year restriction for EP. Just pay the VEP daily.
you CAN'T ride Malaysian bike in Sg using SG license but you can ride Malaysian bike in Malaysia using Sg license.
