Something just caught my eyes while I was on my routine evening jog. Some Community Development event was held in a temple. Astonishingly, I saw Malays and Indians dined in a Chinese Temple!

Now that's Unity, Multiracial, and Harmony.

Tolerance? Ditch that! We certainly got a lot to learn.
*
I think thats quite a normal scene that u can see in Singapore. Even yesterday when i was having dinner, i see a group of people (8-10) people sitting together to celebrate birthday for their friend. they consist of chinese (i heard 2-3 if them talk hokkien), Filipino (2-3 of them talk in tagalog), Indian and also a Malay (husband and wife, can see the wife wear tudung). surprisingly, they are eating in a chinese restaurant, mayb they didn't order any pork but can really see the multiracial unity there. its just like a company's whole department celebrating birthday for a colleague.

It was almost 30% less than wat i requested n 10% less than my current salary in RM(only the figure, not after the converted rate)

During the interview, they taken my passport n IC for the ep application, till now i didn't sign any documents yet. And that moment i tot if i not signing the offer letter yet, i still can reject their offer.

I think i wont be black listed by MOM if i reject this offer right??
*
10% less than what u earn is RM is very reasonable. i got a 20% reduction when i come down to SG for this job but i feel like i got a 50% raise in my salary. Its bcoz even after the conversion, things are a lot cheaper in SG (dollar to dollar).

Hey guys, which bank is the best to open in SG? I've opened OCBC Bank because my fren said it's the fastest bank for salary to come in! tongue.gif

Any 2 cents?
*
our employer uses Citibank, I initially uses DBS and nothing was wrong with that. 1 thing not good is if your account got less than $500, they will deduct $2 from your account everymonth. Since Citibank got promo to open account with $0 and free cheque book, free debit card, i switch to Citibank. To be frank, i regretted. DBS/POSB is still the best bank in Singapore because to top up ur MRT card, u can only use NETS transaction which only avail on my DBS debit card. And u also know la, that day i buy iPad, Citibank Debit card rejected the transaction when my account have money. and my DBS work after i transferred those money to my DBS account.

Well, i can differentiate float amount or the actual money that alrdy in.. The amount that i talking about is the physical amount that in the bank which able to withdraw the money of... Hmm, maybe I haven't compare with colleagues that using Citibank thus I don't know mine or Citibank faster, but mine is definitely faster than DBS/POSB and few other banks. tongue.gif

I wanted to apply DBS debit card, becoz of the Takashimaya card that they give! but thinking of need to maintain at least $500 in the bank every month, I think I just stick with OCBC enough...  sad.gif
*
i used DBS previously and i find that DBS will get salary earlier compare to citibank. the earliest date i get my salary when i am with DBS is on the 10th but citibank the earliest is the 13th.

Besides being allowed to buy property, they are also allowed to open bank accounts, get 2 APs to import cars, convert their foreign driving licences to Malaysian ones and get a long term visa. Not given citizenship or PR.
*
u have not mention that they can only buy houses that are higher than 500k. must open a bank account with XX amount of money to be eligible for it.

just a general question here. why most landlord prefer female over male.
whats wrong with male compare to female. talking about hygiene, i think some males are even more hygienic than female. mind sharing the benefits of having a female tenant over a male tenant?
