QUOTE(deriku @ Nov 7 2010, 07:28 PM) Very attractive price for Swiss movement and the finishing looks good in the pictures. Anyone had experience with this brand before - patryn? Their website seems to be available only in German. true, translator are built into browser (google Chrome), U can use that to get info.with 4 weeks return policy and 5yr warranty and I found it recommended in WUS, I wouldn't worry too much. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f8/chrono-val...uro-467985.html the shipping cost is high at EUR$45, but U do get your watch next day and they do insure it at EUR$500. they only do Paypal or brand wire lets not forget even chrono is listed for EUR$399, we don't pay the 19% VAT with shipping the watch would cost ~EUR$380. QUOTE(Guenhwyvar @ Nov 9 2010, 10:49 PM) I'm just wondering how good are the Germans in watches compare to the Swiss? Well we all know that the Germans are very good in engineering but how do they compare with their Swiss counterpart? as good as swiss!german put alot of effort into case machining perhaps more than most swiss brands. then again, I am not talking about fake German brands Added on November 10, 2010, 8:55 am QUOTE(highwind85 @ Nov 9 2010, 07:57 AM) I don't think its normal. QUOTE(LiLFreaK @ Nov 13 2010, 06:34 PM) I like this one from g timeless tho because its timeless and so prolly wont get outdated for very long time.. and it has diamonds whichh makes it look more elegant.. how much will U be paying for the Gucci and Tag?Retail price is 3690 , but i got it for 3100 after discount Actually i know that fashion houses watch are not really great choice.. bt with my limited budget i cant afford to get more expensive luxury brand such as omega ( i prefer zenith or rolex though) .. And i am a very brand conscious person so i'd have to pass for high end seiko because i am not really into the mechanicals stuffs anyway... As for armani watch there is only one i want which is giorgio armani watch ... (not the emporio one) they only have 1 design if i am not mistaken .. Yeah louis vuitton watches are nice looking considered them too bt after much thoughs they are too expensive for both I think can get a nice Bulgari Diagono, I prefer that over these 2 watches. http://www.ashford.com/ashford/browse/prod...ELAID=443624149 ![]() |

QUOTE(yijzen @ Nov 14 2010, 01:30 AM) the seiko ananta double retrograde the one with the 6r24 moevement. lol my dad doesnt really let me touch his stuff. will take some pics and write a short review about it when i get the chance to do so. its an understated watch. btw any comments about the new ananta moon phase? that is not spring drive.http://www.seikowatches.com/products/ananta/double_r_c.html anyway, those Ananta are kinda mass produce for international market. the finishes are not as good as Grand Seiko or Credor. I don't like the ananta moon phase watch design. I like a classic GCLL997 http://www.credor.com/lineup/node/reference/gcll997.html ![]() |

QUOTE(yijzen @ Nov 14 2010, 09:37 AM) i'v been checking out stowa, have some questions as i am quite blurred by their website. wat is the diff between Antea 390 - ETA 2824 with handmade German silver rotorhttp://www.german-watches.com/cgi-bin/lsho...Tshowrub--antea and http://www.german-watches.com/cgi-bin/lsho...Tshowrub--antea Antea black with date - ETA 2824 Added on November 14, 2010, 10:53 am QUOTE(highwind85 @ Nov 14 2010, 10:16 AM) So Ananta Spring drive are not mass production model? I did state it is kind of mass produce. the production vol is certainly no Seiko 5 or Seiko premier. And i'm curious where to get Ananta...coz it's quite difficult to find... the vol should be higher than those Japan Domestic model, since specific AD around the world do carry the collection. eg http://www.righttime.com/rt/seiko_ananta/s...antawatches.htm http://www.azfinetime.com/Seiko-Ananta http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/Seiko-Ananta/...-Watch-(SE-003) Added on November 14, 2010, 11:01 am QUOTE(okboy92 @ Nov 14 2010, 06:35 AM) checking it out now. don't noe anything about watches but noe some brand since my frens are wearing it. QUOTE(okboy92 @ Nov 14 2010, 01:52 PM) sweet. thanks patryn33. this quartz chrono maybe not, prices online are more than RM5.5K.with RM4k+ can i get this watch? ![]() btw the NOS MLs price are from authorized dealer or online? AD usually don't carry NOS. that model above is current. resale value for quartz watches are bad. U spend 4K on it use a few yrs.. maybe can sell 1k+ anyway a cheaper alternative would be Maurice Lacroix Watches - Les Classiques Day Date Month Chronograph ![]() are U like LiLFreaK going for Brand above everything? what other brands do you know? else for ~4K can get. the cheapest branded with the same movement maybe Longines selling at 2X the price (http://shop.us.longines.com/watch-selector/l26734783.html) http://www.genius1953.de/en/index10.html ![]() This post has been edited by patryn33: Nov 14 2010, 09:20 PM |

QUOTE(okboy92 @ Nov 14 2010, 10:59 PM) i noe some other brands like panerai. but its way too expensive for a college student like me. NOS go to varies AD and check them out, no special place other than collectorstime.com (they do not sell Local now, just export even they are base in KL)is it possible to get a good mechanical watch with the price im paying? btw where can i find NOS watches in KL? still a student, brands like Sinn, Damasko invest in making a good solid case that is harder than regular steel. it is possible just not big brands such as Panerai, Omega etc. many brands listed on page one are small markers to keep cost low U can only get the online direct. plenty of good reviews on fit and finished on these brands. even Epos, few brands blue their screws. ML pontos are not as nice as their masterpiece collection. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f67/epos-3241...iew-261096.html U can get a quality Damasko, direct thru them or http://www.damasko.de/eng/index.html http://www.gnomonwatches.com/Product-view.asp?id=27 Sinn 256, U can find it in Hour Glass (someone order it online from sinnwatches.com) http://www.sinnwatches.com/proddetail.php?prod=si056 ![]() or Guinand (high quality movement is Rhodium plated, cost of Rhodium is higher than Gold), can even customize watch, they used to make Sinn watches, perhaps even Bell and Ross. QUOTE(evilnickwong @ Nov 15 2010, 12:55 AM) Does anyone know if it's safe to purchase watches from online retailers? Specifically, I was looking at watchco.com for a Mondaine Sport I Gents Day Date watch. not get from them but princetonwatches.com do get good reviews. I think watchco.com should be OK. try searching reviewsOnly reason I ask is because the price online seems quite alot cheaper compared to market rate at shops here. http://www.princetonwatches.com/shop/A667....667.30308.19SBB |
