does it still glow? I did some goggling on it, seem like rolex made the switch some where during 1998-00. and the glow goes away after 12-13yrs

Nope, no more glow at all. Most collectors will prefer this way and wait for it to change to patina or yellowish to preseve the value and vintage look.

Can I know what is the acceptable range of accuracy for an automatic watch, and how do we check the accuracy.I find that mine is like faster for 1 or 2 minutes for every 1 week or so. Is it normal?

1st of all whats your automatic watch? brand and model.

say its 90secs fast total after 7 days. is it consistently 12-13sec fast every 24hr?
or is it 24secs 1 day, -5sec the next etc and somehow it add up to 90secs fast?

if its the later thats not normal.
otherwise, depending on kind of movement inside that maybe acceptable.
if its a Rolex generally thats unacceptable.
A Seiko/Russian/China watches that maybe acceptable.

swiss auto.. my guess looking at certina's manual should be standard -5 to +20 secs every 24hrs.

guys, just unpacked the C5 CW i collected this morning. The design is simple yet classic. Still trying to figure out how it works and trying to get use to wearing a watch ... ( Have not wore 1 for the past 6 yrs, a bit weirdo when put something on my wrist )

bro patryn, i am kinda lazy to post the pic although i was thinking to record the process using my phone. hehe.

I am glad I got u hooked on mechanical watches! rclxms.gif
U'll love Stowa more. do note unlike CW watches don't ship in 1 week time. mostly 2-3mths later since they are build to order.
some watches esp LE type ppl have been waiting for more than 1yr still not seen their watch.

hopefully over the weekend U find time to show some nice pics!
I bet Leon|| is looking forward to your pics and review. iirc Leon|| is still waiting on the nearly new or new if still cannot get.

don't really need me when there is a vast database of info there... especially on the old Seiko vs Citizen website smile.gif

http://www.network54.com/Forum/78440/searc...7180&sort=match

those old threads have some info already.

"The 6119 seiko is not a real seiko. Back in the late sixties, early seventies, this product was sold throughout Asia. The movements or modules were Ricoh, or a Russian brand name that escapes me." is interesting though.

Btw, I'm a bit more well versed with current Seikos biggrin.gif
