they aren't cheap to begin with even when discount is generally steeper than PANERAI.

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Jun 16 2010, 10:59 PM) does it still glow? I did some goggling on it, seem like rolex made the switch some where during 1998-00. and the glow goes away after 12-13yrs Nope, no more glow at all. Most collectors will prefer this way and wait for it to change to patina or yellowish to preseve the value and vintage look.http://www.rolexforums.com/archive/index.php/t-27650.html http://www.rolexforums.com/archive/index.php/t-29410.html I like this chart posted http://www.rolexforums.com/archive/index.php/t-51353.html |

Can I know what is the acceptable range of accuracy for an automatic watch, and how do we check the accuracy.I find that mine is like faster for 1 or 2 minutes for every 1 week or so. Is it normal?

Is it normal? 1st of all whats your automatic watch? brand and model.say its 90secs fast total after 7 days. is it consistently 12-13sec fast every 24hr? or is it 24secs 1 day, -5sec the next etc and somehow it add up to 90secs fast? if its the later thats not normal. otherwise, depending on kind of movement inside that maybe acceptable. if its a Rolex generally thats unacceptable. A Seiko/Russian/China watches that maybe acceptable. |

I am glad I got u hooked on mechanical watches!
U'll love Stowa more. do note unlike CW watches don't ship in 1 week time. mostly 2-3mths later since they are build to order. some watches esp LE type ppl have been waiting for more than 1yr still not seen their watch. hopefully over the weekend U find time to show some nice pics! I bet Leon|| is looking forward to your pics and review. iirc Leon|| is still waiting on the nearly new or new if still cannot get. This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 17 2010, 11:17 PM |

don't really need me when there is a vast database of info there... especially on the old Seiko vs Citizen website
http://www.network54.com/Forum/78440/searc...7180&sort=match those old threads have some info already. "The 6119 seiko is not a real seiko. Back in the late sixties, early seventies, this product was sold throughout Asia. The movements or modules were Ricoh, or a Russian brand name that escapes me." is interesting though. Btw, I'm a bit more well versed with current Seikos |
