I nit some recommendations here.. my budget is around 1-2k.. I have looked at the 1st page.. and found that CW C8 Pilot MK1 is very appealing to me.. before this i was thinking to get tissot t-touch.. it was 2k +..

50% sounds like a very godo deal? New REAL watches? I know overseas sells replica watches at 30% the cost, and it's very very well made with high grade materials.

I'm currently looking for a watch for everyday usage, budget around rm2k. Currently considering the Stowas and the Tissot Visodate, but the waiting time for Stowa is going to take a couple of months, whereas the tissot can be purchased anytime. Can someone suggest a watch with similar designs (sleek and elegant) that can fit within my budget? Will only consider automatic movement, as it is just simply beautiful. Thanks.

I would prefer something rather rare in the sense that not easily be bought from retail shops.. in this case CW will be a good choice ?

I prefer leather straps and mechanical.. chrono with super-luminova if possible.. but the c8 pilot is not chrono..

had a look at steinhart.. the watches there are good as well..

Apart from Steinhart, is there any other similar options to Stowa (in terms of design) but at a lower price point? Prefer the diameter to be not more than 40mm. Thanks in advance.

I wonder sometimes why they offer attractive discounts? Could it be to clear up the stock for newer arrivals?

Issue is, I don't see much Orient dealers here or those that carry Mako's. Good news is that I found a way to get the Mako's at 50% off through the website, however it is only for the US market. So I need someone who live there to buy for me

Stowa definitely wins in terms of design, but quality wise I'd side with Tissot simply due to the nature of the Stowa beign a leather strap. It would take more care to protect it from wear and tear, and it otherwise not suitable for everyday usage.

Saw a CW C40 Speedhawk going for around USD500. I have always wanted an automatic chrono, and this model comes with the ETA 7750 which is a real plus point. The Speedhawk is definitely one of the most affordable models with 7750.

On the other hand, I've caught on the Flieger fever and have really grown to admire the design of B-uhrs. The Laco Flieger with Miyota movement strikes me as a perfect balance between having the classic flieger design and an attractive price to go with. This model is selling for ~200 Euro. I am not sure if the 2011 models will have one with Miyota movement and whether the price range will still be the same, so tempted to go for the plunge on this one.

Watch fund is running low and I can only get one for now. Would be great if you could provide comments on which one it should be and why. Thanks!

using seagull movement ah , then should be not very good lo right and no ppl collect watches with seagull movement right ?

i juz bought a seiko diver 4R15. changed to rubber strap wic make it more sporting look. Thou tis watch is a bit heavier den other, i stil love da 4R15 engine movement, smooth n low daily rate +/- 12 seconds.

Design wise im with tissot but somehow i like the exclusivity of CW as its less 'popular' compared to tissot. Tissot is like everywhere
