iirc the history of these 5 are rather complex too. A Lange & Söhne was unable to fulfill the military demand then and these other players were sourced.

that Pam homage cost ~300RM iirc, the real think at least 12,000 RM. the one CK77 put is no longer in production. if U do find it it would be used and chances are pirce not any lower than RM$10K. although when its new it cost alot less.

it would work so long U can find movement to fit in.
but that CK watch, I think auto no luck, manual maybe. if super thin, it would be hard looking for such movement.
thin movement are just easy to come by.

own design many times != sales.
classic/timeless design like those ppl take it as homage. so many brands offer design like ref 3398.
ref 3365 U can say copy from Fortis.. then Fortis may copy from XYZ.
Ref. 3336 copy from Oris? I am sure some other brand have the same look, who started it its hard to trace.
open heart concept copy from Frederique Constant, just that they are unknown brands unlike Rolex/IWC/Pam no one really scream HOMAGE!

they offer over 80 different design for men under their brand. thats huge. even Longines/Oris/Tissot don't make offer such a big collection.
if U say they lack for focus, I buy that.
not many entry level brands focus on their own design. design that change too freq often result in poor resale value or just out of fashion.
10-15yrs ago Oris are cheap, their "DNA" was their WW2 watches. today's marketing prices of their watches went up by 4-5X. an entry level tag only go up by ~2-3X. those WW2 watches, not even sure who copy from who..

BTW; its an atmos clock. atomic would be very accurate. hehehe

best value...maybe Christopherward since its under RM$1300, uses Top grade movement in soft iron core case.

Archimede is using standard, Steinhart maybe standard. MKII is on elabore. Archimede case is better made.
Stowa is on elabore and its ~RM2K, cost more as its original FLIEGER. among all the original makers I think this best value.
sinn is on elabore grade, but they do a somethings on their cases so it cost more. of course with marketing it does make the brand more renown, but it also pass down the cost to consumers.

few FLIEGER have anti magnetic case. only CW, IWC, Speedbird.. on top of my head.

certainly worth it!

big brands never sell online, its always listed on their website.
there are good reliable places to shop. online shopping is big in usa. just tour wus,timezone many shopped online. good online retailer offer 30 days money back. no fear if u receive a defective product, ship it back, money wasted for shipping.
of course the main reason is cost. if you feel saving an additional 20-30% (esp it translates to 2k-4k rm) and worth the risk why not.
not comfortable just pay the extra and go to shop.
